A warm welcome and a very comfortable stay guaranteed. Highly recommended. Could do with Wi-Fi though.

Stayed two nights, both perfect - clean comfortable room with plenty of space. Perfect breakfast in a warm friendly atmosphere. Perfect host and staff, nothing too much trouble. Thank you and hope to see you again.

My husband and I stayed for one night at The Waggon Inn recently. The room was very clean and bright, fairly spacious and had everything you need (although you might want to specify a room with a bath as opposed to just a shower). Although we didn't have a meal there as we were meeting up with friends in the village, we enjoyed our breakfast - in particular the good quality bacon and sausages - and the restaurant is attractively decorated. The owner, Adrian, is really friendly and welcoming - the perfect person to be in charge of a pub. If the public rooms were as nicely decoarted as the restaurant and the bedroom (they are fairly basic), The Waggon Inn would be even better than it already is!

We stayed at the wagon inn recently, and what a lovely surprise. The room was great, the owners very friendly and the food was fantastic. We ate there several times during our 5 day stay for lunch and dinner, and the food was top notch each time. Thouroughly enjoyed our stay, highly recommended.

Visited the area on business for a couple of weeks and happened to stumble upon the waggon looking for a place to eat. As soon as you walk through the door you are treated like a local by the friendly and attentive staff, nothing was too much trouble. I have eaten here about five times now, each time i tried something different from the menu,I haven't been disappointed yet.The food was freshly made, piping hot and delicious. Say no more :-)

Simply brilliant and that is just the menu. Everything about this quaint little pub is fantastic from the friendly husband & wife team who own it to the spacious and very cosy bedrooms. Well worth visiting if you like beautiful scenery as a background to an enjoyable walk or ramble. And Holmfirth, where the BBC series, Last of the Summer Wine was made, is within easy reach.
