This riverside cafe was charming and Toni and her staff were friendly and helpful. I need to eat gluten-free and so I was in heaven because they had several GF choices (including bread). I had Cassoulet, a French style bean stew, on a jacket potato with three salads. My husband had Turkish Pilaf with lentils and rice. Both dishes were terrific! They used fresh ingredients, and the food was cooked and spiced perfectly. We're from California where vegetarian food is all the rage. Waterside has some of the the best veggie cuisine we've ever had.

This is my favourite cafe of all time (and I've tried a few!) The cafe is very quaint with a good atmosphere, in a lovely setting by the River Kent. The food is of a consistently high quality, very fresh and wholesome. The staff are always lovely and its very good value for money. I always get a cheese scone (the best)and a salad (fantastic) to takeaway for my lunch the next day.

For the best quality veggie food around in a nice relaxed atmosphere this place can't be beaten. Slightly off the beaten track down by the river its a joy to savour their salads, quiche, soups and delicious cakes.
