Wild wood chelmsford was very nice although it was packet, service was fast and staff were helpful. I had the platter as a starter and it was brilliant and the prawns were outstanding with the sauce. For my main course i had the chicken Milanese which was brilliant and i would recommend it to anyone. The restaurant was very nice as it had couples on dates and young families. Even though the food was brilliant the price was low and i would give it 4 and a half stars.

Went to wildwood at half 1 on a Thursday lunchtime, the setting is great and the restaurant looked nice, unfortunately that's all the positives I have to give! We were shown to a table quickly enough but then we sat there for 25 mins before someone remembered we were there. Our order was taken and the drinks arrived promptly with an apology, then the wait for the food begun which is even worse when one is agitated and hungry! Eventually it arrived after 20 mins (for 2 cheeseburgers, the restaurant was not even 20 full and we were the only table that was not eating!). The food is average at best and thus making it overpriced. Then there was THE cardinal sin placed upon me, a hair in my food. Needless to say I won't be returning and will be advising anybody to do the same!

What a waste of money, waited 45 minutes for lunch which consisted of a cold burger and fries and a seafood pizza with no cheese and very little seafood, what a shame a nice setting and very disinterested staff,
