The William bar in Sowerby Bridge is now serving food, both me and my partner love this venue and I would highly recommend this bar to anyone who wishes for a chilled atmosphere without the usual hassle that comes with venues like the Moorings which is usually packed out with rowdy groups of lads. The William is like a breath of fresh air and is one of the gems of Sowerby Bridge.
Sunday Imbiber
The lengthy refurbishment of the William is now complete. It has been totally gutted and refurbished to a high standard. It no longer looks like a traditional pub. It was very busy on Saturday night (this may have been because another popular pub, the Moorings is closed for refurbishments). I could spot no evidence that they may be putting on food; but I did not ask if this was the case. They do not serve my favourite draught Lindeboum any more, but I know the suppliers of Lindeboum (James Clay & Son) are offering some bottled samples to see how it sells. The venue is now called The William at Sowerby Bridge.
