The Windmill dates back to 1794 when it was built to take advantage of the opening of the Leeds and Liverpool Canal. It’s situated midway between Ormskirk and Standish in the pretty village of Parbold and is the perfect place to relax and recharge, ideally with a stroll down the canal too. The menus change with the season and are firmly based around local produce with food served at lunch and dinner every day and right through from 12 noon at weekends. In winter, there’s a roaring log fire on the go but you can expect a warm welcome here from the friendly staff all year round.
