20 people came as a group tonight and had a very good time. Nice atmosphere and surroundings. They mainly had the carvery which looked good and they certainly enjoyed it.
I had the feta cheese , beetroot and seed salad., which looked sad , limp and looked as if it had stood for some time, it had less than an average small size beetroot on and a very small amount of feta cheese. The waiter gave me another portion of the cheese and beetroot and then it was quite nice. If you are only a carvery then don't offer salad, because people do not wish to eat the meat does not mean they do not have a similar appetite to meat eaters. I would not bring vegetarian salad eating friends to the Woodside again.

What dining experience !
My wife ordered the sea bass I went with the carvery we ordered the drinks they came in record time after that it was downhill all the way
We waited and waited no explanation on why we were not served
That's when I said enough is enough and asked for the bill for the drinks that took five mins to arrive the total time we wasted in the restaurant was 1 hour 15 mins
If that is what you call service its about time someone got a rocket upn there arse
We will not use this place again you get better service at KFC

We visited the woodside 2 weeks ago and went for Sunday lunch. The carvery looked amazing and all really fresh. The staff were very friendly even though they were extremely busy. We had a great carvery Sunday dinner and dessert. We will definitely be back

Took my mum to this restaurant for Mother's Day. A dreadful start as our table that had been pre-booked was given to another party and staff then trying to find room for us. We were seated and I must say the meal and all the staff were fantastic. Great fresh food and great value for money. All in my party had a great time and will definitely visit again very soon.

Went to the new look Woodside on Saturday night and WOW! what a difference... Gone is the pool table and in has come elegance and chic. The bar now looks swish and modern, no more optics which makes a big difference. The comfy sofas are just that...and you feel excited about drinking and dining once more. The outside area has had a rethink too along with swish new sign and trees lit with lights as you enter. his is no longer branded as a pub, its now a restaurant with a bar...and on entering you see why... its new decor compliments the amazing new carvery and menu...The carvery was my choice and for £7.50 was a good choice. The two young lads on the carvery were very polite and helpful, and you didn't get too much... just enough to fill my belly. There was a great choice of veg, and three types of potato as well as stuffing balls and Yorkshire puddings, as made by the head chef, Gary Lawson who holds his team of young chefs together very well to produce an amazing menu which includes liver and bacon, swordfish which may to some seem a tad adventurous for Horsforth but I couldn't fault my meal.I am going again for sure with my family for Sunday Lunch. The young staff are all polite and the waiting staff looked very professional in their long white aprons ... ALL the staff should give themselves a big pat on the bask after Saturday night cos It was a great success. All in all it was a whole new eating experience and one which I shall return too. It rings true I guess that if you go down to The Woodside today ...Your sure of a big, and very pleasant surprise.

A Two for One deal wich makes it a good cheap meal if there's 2 or 4 people. You pay at the bar and don't have to wait long to be served by young friendly staff
