Our holiday home visitors book is full of recommendations for the Globe. We visited at half term and enjoyed our first meal so much we went back again on Saturday night.
This is an old pub remember not a restaurant but there is a dining room a large children's room and a number of fires crackle in different cosy corners.
Lasagna voted 10/10 by a discerning young teen. Chicken Madras excellent, tender and well presented, Indonesian lemon chicken from the specials board, which features a round the world daily changing option, was also well received. Local produce is used as much as possible and sausages burgers and steaks are consistently first class. Rump and jacket potato are a favourite.
A hidden gem worth seeking out.
