Sir Winston Churchill – Harvester – Rochdalecurry brill
Copper Pot – Rochdalethey have new chef and the food is not the same
The Harrows – Rochdaleutter rubbish. Style over substance faux Italian . The place looks the part and is nice and classy, however the menu/ food and wine is appalling. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. ....... laughable , they have no idea what real Italian food is. What is 'pineapple carpaccio' for gods sake ... ??? ha ha ha
Bellavista – RochdaleWhen you visit Nutters it's like being in a Fairy Tale. There's a SORCEROR in the kitchen, a REGAL QUEEN front of house and a WIZARD in the winery. There's nothing BROTHERS GRIMM about this experience. It's a Magical Potion that leaves you wanting more and more.
our daughter had her wedding and everyone has commented on what a good venue it was and how the food was amazing. Rodney and the team work very hard to ensure that everything is just so. Can't recommend Nutters highly enough-what a treat to eat there
Nutters Restaurant – RochdaleMy wife and I really liked Nutters and wanted to organise a series of evenings with friends there. We rang to speak to the manager to see if there were any special arrangements we could make bringing so many people and to say he was rude would be an understatement.... so much so he's put us off the restaurant period.

Copper Pot – RochdaleCame Sat night and it was very nice thanks
Sir Winston Churchill – Harvester – RochdaleHaving worked in catering for over 15 years the first thing that came to mind when arriving a Nutters was, How does a place as big as this, survive a massive credit crunch ? The answer is simple, it’s Very Very Good. As you arrive at the impressive building you will notice the private reg of Andrew Nutter’s car, parked around the side of the restaurant. A good sign as it is rare to find the chef actually cooking in the restaurant of his name nowadays. Believe me I know, I worked for Heathcote for 2 years and the only time I saw him in the kitchen was when a camera was around. When you walk inside Nutters, you are instantly greeted with a warm and friendly welcome and ushered to the slick looking lounge for drinks. We had booked on the Gourmet Menu and we were a little worried because my wife is pregnant and we thought we would have to explain what she could and could not eat. Our worry was short lived. A waiter came over to confirm we would still like the gourmet menu, we were asked is there anything you don't like or have allergies to. Just as I was about to launch into a massive list, my wife mentioned that she was pregnant. The waiter simply smiled and said with such confidence that this was not a problem. I knew straight away that there was no need for my silly list. Within a moment we were presented with a Chicken Liver parfait and my wife smiled and said, “I'll just miss this course out,” but then seconds later a waitress arrived with an apology from "chef" because the parfait would not be suitable for my wife and presented her with her own personal canapés. Before we even moved to our table I was very impressed. As we didn't know what we were going to be eating we decided to opt for a simple Chablis to accompany our meal. My parents and I polished this off by the 3rd course and automatically asked for another. Just as our second bottle was about to be opened by Mr Nutter Snr himself, we asked if he could recommend us something different that would go with our next course, we told him what we liked and he recommended a Chilean Chardonnay that was actually cheaper than the Chablis we had been drinking. The wine recommendation was fantastic and it actually made a great meal even better. We will defiantly be going back to Nutter’s and I urge you to do the same. At a time when restaurants are cutting back, cutting corners and penny pinching, Nutter’s seem to be doing the opposite. Each course was delicious. The attention to detail is excellent even down to the quality of the coffee and homemade petit fours. There are plenty of very smart, very well trained staff to look after you, the atmosphere is unpretentious and relaxed. The best thing of all is the fact that the extremely talented Chef is actually in the kitchen behind the hot plate rather in front of a camera. In fact, If like me you work in catering, you need to get yourself to Nutter’s just to see how restaurants are done properly.
Nutters Restaurant – Rochdalei would recommend madisons restaurant to anyone, the food is beautifully cooked and presented; the staff are attentive and helpful, without being overpowering.and the premises are light and airy. the early bird menu is great value, and is not run down to meet the price.
Me and a large party of friends went to the Copper Pot and we sat down at half 7. After taking 30 minutes for the waiters to take the order and a further 2 hours of getting our meals, we just wanted to go home. The food WAS nice in the end, however what we ordered did not come to the table. There seemed to have been a communication block somewhere, i am thinking from the waiter to the kitchen. The organisation of a big group of people was somewhat to be desired. I was a waitress throughout my first year at uni. I served over 50 people at once, by myself, and to a high standard to which they gave me a very generous tip. Instead of having 2 bills, they added everything onto one bill, then left us with a calculator to work out what everyone needed to pay. Furthermore, once we had finally tackled the bill, a further 30 minutes, a waiter (not sure if it was the manager) Sid, would not let us leave until he counted the money. Understandably so. We waited and waited. Whilst we waited for it to be counted, i kindly asked why it took so long for the meal to be served, he ignored my question. I asked again. Once again, ignored. Then a third time, i said "excuse me, can you tell me why it took 2 hours for our meal to be served?", sadly, i got a one word answer. "Busy". After that, i had to point out that he was being extremely rude to our party. Once i had said that, he insulted us by telling us that we had not put down enough money and we were not to leave until we paid. To which i said, 4 of our party groups had checked the money, and all were saying that it was right. He did not like this and said that we should go to somewhere where we can afford next time, like McDonalds where the happy meals are £1.99. I was infuriated and so where the rest of the party. He also threatened to call the police because we were merely asking him questions about the service that night. Considering that it had taken two hours for our main to come, our party began to get slighty restless and they had to keep themselves occupied by going to the bar and getting a round of drinks in. I could see that some of the waiters were getting a little aggrivated by the behaviour of some of our party, to which i can understand fully. However, this still doesnt justify the rudeness, the insults or threatening to call the police from the waiter, Sid. ( i have a feeling that he was the manager, which makes this situation a million times worse as the managers are supposed to have an understanding, kind attitude towards the customers). Appauling night. If you are a party more than two, be prepared to be insulted about your wealth, or should i say, 'lack of', even if you do have sufficient funds (like our party). Be prepared to be waiting a large amount of time for your food, so dont forget to bring lots of money for the over priced drinks. (£5 for a vodka and orange juice) And finally, do not ask any questions at all. Because we dont really want to spend the night in a cell for asking a question nicely, do we?
Copper Pot – Rochdalefantastic restaurant, visited several times for afternoon tea, meals in the evening, & cookery schools. always recommend the restaurant its fantastic. gourmet evenings food is amazing.
Nutters Restaurant – RochdaleAfter a recent visit to Nutters Restaurant, I was extremely disappointed. I read raving reviews about this restaurant and was very much looking forward to my visit only to turn up and be greeted by an extremely sour faced young woman on arrival. She quite obviously did not want to be there and was not pleased to show us to our cramped table in the bar area. Once seated, we were approached by a young man barking about drink orders. I made out from this caveman like grunt that we were infact supposed to inform him what drinks we would like. I went through 3 different drinks in order to be told that they had ran out of them all and we're due a stock intake in the near future. I ended up with a lovely regular tap water. Once shown to our table which was slap bang in the middle of the restaurant allowing elbows, trays, plates, the lot, to graze my back throughout what was supposed to be a peaceful meal, we were presented with a very dry piece of fish on top of some lettuce. That is the best way to describe it. Also, I was quite confused as to why my fish came with bones, I dont recall ordering a plate of fish bones. The rest of the meal to follow wasn't much different with my plate being taken away covered in various chewed grizzly pieces of meat and undercooked vegetables. The meal was not tickling my taste buds whatsoever so I obviously was truly dismayed, offended and sickened when watching my husband take a spoonful of ice cream, what he thought was a decorative piece was infact a fingernail!!! This really was the last straw and we called the owner over to voice our not happy opinions only to be barked at in some kind of illiterate language about the restaurant once being the best in the North West and abruptly being handed the bill. Reluctantly, we paid for the monstrosity that was but I can safely say I will never be returning to the restaurant and I certainly will not be recommending it to anyone... EVER!
Nutters Restaurant – RochdaleWe ate there over Xmas with good friends of ours and we had a great night. Top location, really nice decor, good service and great food..
Bellavista – RochdaleWent to Nutters Restaurant, with my wife and friends. It is my wife's 40th Birthday on the 28th November so I emailed the restaurant. Andrew Nutter was kind enough to present an amazing dessert and came to have a chat with us for about 10 minutes, it was excellent. I have been a number of times, and the food is truly amazing. I have eaten at many top restaurants, Nutters is still my favourite.
