El Boliche – SaleNot justifying them closing down and not advising Avis, but apparently there were a few major issues which lead to the owners deciding to shut down and sort out before reopening. Went to the 'Live Music' night just after they had reopened and it was a brilliant night - the place was buzzing and what's more the food was outstanding. They even adapted a dish specially for my husband who is the fussiest eater this side of the equator!
El Boliche – SaleI know the restaurant is new but I feel that I have to share my experience of the visit as I and others In the party were slightly disappointed. I'll start with the booking, my fiancé booked a table for 12 around two weeks in advance for Saturday the 16th of January. In the lead up to the visit she received one phone call to change the time of the booking from 6:30 to 7:00 which we agreed on, then another two phone calls to confirm the booking for 6:30 where we had to explain that it had already been changed to 7:00. On arrival at the restaurant it was not busy so we were unsure as to why we had been asked to change the booking time. Whilst we were sat down with my young neice and two 4 year old nephews an older waiter with a very strong accent (out of the two waiters there) came over to the table and told my two nephews to be quiet in a very rude manner. I would accept this if they were being excessively noisy or running around but they were just talking to each other?? I have seen very badly behaved children before but the noise level of my two nephews certainly did not warrant a telling off. The same older waiter of the two brought over three garlic breads and three bowls of olives but we had only ordered one of each. As we were a large table we assumed that these were complimentary. The food was excellent and very well presented. The service from the younger waiter who originally greeted us and took our order was also excellent. Whilst eating our meal the same older water walked past my brother in law with steak knives pointing out of his hand and accidentally stabbed my brother in law in the shoulder. This left a cut to his left shoulder but he did not make a fuss as it was my 30th. The older waiter asked if we would like desert and after only half of the table saying no he proceeded to take all of the desert menus off everyone.... The children were also not offered any ice cream which should have been included with their meal from the kids menu. At the end of the meal everybody went through the menu and worked out how much each of their meal was. We all contributed cash (apart from one card payment) and included a very generous tip. When the money was counted the bill was still short by a large amount. The total bill was around £219 Not wanting to make a fuss on my 30th everybody added the extra amount that was outstanding but this was also in addition to them leaving a generous tip. The older waiter was dealing with the bill and took the receipt away from us so we had no way to check afterwards if we had been overcharged. Even if there was a 10%service charge we still felt that the bill was higher than it should have been. The food was excellent but we left feeling disappointed with the experience and also felling slightly robbed. We tried not to let it overshadow my 30th but on the experience alone I don't think we will be returning or recommending.
Borrello – SaleI booked this restaurant before Christmas for 4 people on 27/12. I gave my contact phone number. We turned up at 7.30 as arranged only to find the restaurant had closed down again but hadn't had the decency to tell us we would have to go somewhere else. Feeling annoyed and let down as well as embarrased we went into Socrates and received their usual welcome and ate fantastic food. The notice on the door of El Boliche read as if it would re-open in the new year but we will never be persuaded to go there again.
El Boliche – SaleI love this restaurant ,food is so fresh.
Chez Nous Bistro – SaleLovely restaurant excellent food will be going again very soon.

Zumar – SaleUndoubted. `Formidable` (if you`re French).
Chez Nous Bistro – SaleThe food at the Moorfields in very nice. I go there 3 times a week and the service is amazing.
The Moorfield – SaleThis is a most splendid and friendly restaurant. The food is excellent and the staff very welcoming. It makes a pleasant change from being 'processed' by one of the larger offerings in Sale. We'll certainly be going again. Recommended
Hafez Restaurant – SaleAsked to take out SFC burger with bacon cheese topper and nothing else on it, got home to find that the burger didn't have the topping and was full of everything I didn't ask for. The chicken seemed overcooked and dry. I was very disappointed
The Moorfield – SaleThe Curry Cottage...takes your taste buds on a mouth watering journey through the a many tantalizing flavours that leaves you filled and satifsied and coming back for more.
Indian Curry Cottage – SaleThe food was exquisite just like the other reviews said and as for customer service I couldn't fault it even if i tried. Even my son who is a fussy eater in the restaurant enjoyed their homemade Chicken Korma. I recommend people to try the mixture of chicken, peas, olives and pickles - YUMMY!!!!!
Hafez Restaurant – SaleLovely food, fantastic service.... The ice cream amust. Very good value for money. Will return!
Hafez Restaurant – SaleBest Indian in Sale. Food is fresh, lower in fat than most curries. Isn't full of crazy fake colourings. Staff are friendly and polite.
Forts Of Bengal – SaleLow prices but very high standards for everything else, especially the food. Try something that sounds unusual. You will be pleasantly surprised every time. One warning: Beware of the Persian ice cream and the homemade cake as they are most addictive part of the menu.
Hafez Restaurant – SaleJust really enjoyed a lovely evening at Hafez, This family run restaurant served home cooked Persian food, of excellent quality and good portions. We were very well looked after by friendly staff, which made a very relaxing evening. We will definitely return to this little gem!
Hafez Restaurant – SaleHorrible takeaway place. Beware of them. First they delivered rare chicken, with blood and in the frozen middle. Then, second time they delive 2 pieces of chicken less than was ordered. I call back immediately and they proceed to argue with me and insist I want to rip them of 2 extra pieces of chicken!Ridiculous people!!!!!!!!!!
