I went with a couple of girlfriends to the Lowry on Thursday, having seen that they had a £15 3-course meal deal. The restaurant was a bit empty, so the atmosphere wasn't exactly buzzing, but the food was great and the staff were so friendly and attentive (without seeming fawning or false). We had a great time and felt like film starts (on the cheap). No idea why more people aren't taking advantage of this special deal.

Frankie and Bennys – Salford QuaysGreat service: Half of the table requested variations or customisations of existing dishes on the menu (mine for example was an extra extra hot Americana pizza), which were delivered with perfection. The ambience is friendly and conducive to good conversation and the wine is reasonably priced and of a high standard. Coupled with a 30 second walk to the quay front, there is a nice evening walk if you need it after an over-indulgent dinner.
