Quality Italian cuisine at reasonable prices. A meal for three (we ate two courses only as none of us have huge appetites!) ran to just over £60. The menu choice is extensive with a varied selection of pasta, meat, fish and vegetarian dishes. The steaks (fillet and sirloin) are well worth a perusal - all enhanced with mouth-watering sauces. Portions are not massive but that is no bad thing as one leaves the restaurant feeling totally satisfied but not 'bloated'. The staff and management proved courteous and efficient amidst a comfortable dining environment, all helping to create a wonderful eating experience. A popular West End dining spot, it is advisable to book in advance. Buon appetito!

this place is brilliant, they even do takeaway boxes you fill up yourself. heard a rumour they may be stopping this though. I pray to the lord god almighty that this isn't true.

My husband and I just love to eat here. Welcoming, friendly staff, cosy restaurant and above all the food is fab. Always a pleasure to dine here.

Had a wonderful evening in Mitchells at New Year fabulous meal great company and the hosts Angus and Veronica paid great attention to detail and made us most welcome we would recommend to all try this out!

great improvement from est est est which, while reliable was getting a bit tired. Gusto is glam, lively and the food is of an excellent standard. Service attentive and waiter very easy on the eye which is always nice! A great dining experience.

Visit at least once every year while staying in Glasgow,we have never had better in Manchester Liverpool or any other town in Spain,Turkey,Cyprus,or where we live in Wales. Great food at great prices.

I strongly recommend the Chicken Pot pie served with the most delicious Chive mash I have ever tasted. The menu has just the right selection, not too much but boy, there is plenty too choose from. I am not a burger person and my friend had the Kobe burger with home cut chips, which I just had to taste as this is one of the restaurant's speciality Kobe Fillet, good idea having it on as burger also, let's you taste what you would be in for if you ever went and ordered Kobe Fillet. Max points, well done.!

Having rediscovered Snooks, myself and my partner have recently been eating there every other week, as a treat for oursleves (whenever we can get a babysitter!) Their steaks are fantastic - I generally have mine medium/well done, but my other half has his rare, and both of us always enjoy our food. Everything down to the chips and the baked potatoes taste great! The portions are unbelievable, but having read the other reviews on here, I will not be too embarrassed to ask for a doggy bag next time! Well worth a visit.

At last Peter has made it to the west end of Glasgow!. As always the food and service was outstanding. I will definitely return and have already recommended it to all my friends.

found this place while working for strathclyde busses on victoria road in 1996, used to get a 3 hr break on a Friday , all the guys tried a different place on a Friday, then we found here,brought my wife from then onwards , , , we have a passion for Indian food, ate it all over the world, but nothing compares to anarkali, , , , don't go anywhere else now , ,, , tho we have tried just about everywhere, so we come here twice a week every week, the food is always first class, great portions , and the sizzlers and huge nan breads to kill for, its a simple place inside, not really changed in our 13 years, but is worth every penny, if i had a chance i wouldn't change it for the world, we have become good friends with all the staff, they know us on first name terms and we know all them, wouldn't eat anywhere else , its amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!, cheap as well, prices hardly changed in years, well done amin and the boys,, , , also sample alex the delivery drivers patter if you can, , he is a scream peter and julie

I was fortunate to have had a beautiful meal at Mitchell's on Friday night (12th Dec 08). The menu was varied and I had haggis, neeps and tatties as a starter which was delicious and then the king scallops for my main meal. The quality of the food was exquisite and the service was also excellent. I would recommend this restaurant to all my friends. It is a bit out of the way but worth the trip!!

The food is always excellent, have been going regularly since Christmas night out in 2007. Look out for the Specials - always a treat!

Had been there for a drink but on Saturday took a friend I had not seen for 28 years there and boy, was I disappointed. The service was poor, they served the starters before my friend and I had even sat down. When we asked where we could put our coats, the young waiter looked puzzled and said he did not know. My starter was fine but my main meal was cold and soggy. The dessert cream was curdled by the time it reached me. Very disappointing. The meal cost £85, what a waste of a Saturday night.

With an fairly unassuming front, I had no idea what lay inside until it was recommended by my mate - now it is by far my favourite Glasgow restaurant! Service is absolutely excellent - food amazing with some nice wines. Would happily recommend to anyone. Try it and you'll go back!

We were greeted by the proprietor and led through a candle-lit passageway to a cavernous room decorated with enormous flags, rusty bicycles, traffic cones, church pewes and a moose head staring down on our table. The room itself was quite cold but thankfully a candle was provided for us to sit round- when it got really cold, we lit it. The walls were festooned with various images/photos/ of Armenian culture ( sheet music, stern looking soviet faces, "Visit aRMENIA tURISTIC ADVERTS ETC). The toilets were very atmospheric, retaining a kind of 'never been painted in 30yrs feel', a tin of 'VIM' which had sort of morphed itself to the window sill, beneath the most cobwebbed net curtain this side of the iron curtain itself, completed the scene. Once seated our host appeared & disappeared over and over again, each time arriving with a different course of fayre ranging from traditional Armenian bread to stewd brussel sprouts, an amazing mixed salad, stuffed peppers, chicken risotto, and others before climaxing with a fresh summer fruit ( Armenian style) sorbet followed by (non) turkish coffee. Halfway through the meal our host asked if we would "like to listen to some music"? we agreed and were treated to a medley of traditional Armenian marching music from his impressive selection of old 78's. Later one of our party asked our host if he would like to listen to some of our music? replying 'yes', my friend granted his wish by playing a medley of classic KISS songs on his "flying V" Ukelele! - I'm sure you will agree, a truly unforgettable experience! The possibly 10 course ( I lost count) banquet was washed down with a couple of bottles of Spanish laughing juice, making the whole affair most agreeable indeed. Recommended. PS be patient, it took us half a dozen phone calls to pin him down/agree a date & time, well worth the wait tho!

Sushiya is a good place to have Sushi, but it leaves a lot to be desired when it comes to quantity. Even after spending close to 25 Pounds I still had enough space for another full round !! The food in general is good, but suggest you choose the menu items carefully.
