Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeMeal of the week! We ate at Café Fish on 11 April 2024. The menu choice was great, with some terrific specials and an excellent choice of wines. Service was spot on, with everything served promptly and a couple of checks (though not too many) to make sure things were okay. Atmosphere was convivial, with a nice buzz of conversation. I can recommend the seafood in a version of bouillabaisse. Definitely the meal of the week for our stay in the west of Scotland.
Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeJust wonderful! Fabulous fresh seafood served with cold, crisp Muscadet with a view of the harbour in the sunshine! Such friendly and efficient service with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. We loved it and would highly recommend!
Cafe Fish – Argyll and Bute*ignore last review I posted before it was complete* 10/10 - food was amazing and staff were lovely! Really nice relaxed atmosphere! The best Lobster I’ve ever had and reasonably priced! We will be back - definitely the best place to have fish in Tobermory!
Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeAbsolutely brilliant! Wonderful food, atmosphere, service and location. If you like seafood then this is the place for you.
Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeAlways a delight. This is a fab restaurant close to The King's Theatre. Food is always absolutely delicious with some firm favourites and also specials. Staff are always friendly and fun. Nothing is too much trouble. Always a fabulous experience.
Steak and Cherry – GlasgowThe menu is impressive and there is an exceptional specials board as well. The staff were professional and lovely, the service was exceptional and quick - even though it was very busy. The food did not disappoint and the portions were a great size. Our new favourite fish restaurant - so much so we visited twice during our weeks stay on MULL
Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeWent for meal on Saturday 6th April with a friend. We only had a main meal and both ordered the fish and chips. Was absolutely delicious. The fish was so fresh and tasty and the batter melted in your mouth. Chips were skinny fries and very nice. The mushy peas were freshly made and perfect. Would recommend this dish and will definitely have this again. The service was friendly and very helpful. Cannot fault the Ravelston restaurant.
Ravelston House – EdinburghWe were warmly greeted. The restaurant was lovely . We ordered our meals and enjoyed . We went on to order 4 desserts and 3 came out I asked for a scoop of ice cream with mine. My sister in law was still waiting on her cheese board We waited and waited my sister and brother had finished theirs and we were still waiting. In the end I got up and looked for someone. The man in the table next to ours wanted to pay his bill. He was also waiting . I went round and looked in the bar there was no one there either . I came back and waited it came but all too late. My sister in law had to take the cheese home with her. Think they forgot us all. This happened on a previous visit. The food was lovely no complaints about this . Maybe the waiting staff need to be on the ball a bit or maybe someone extra if they are too busy . The girl we had though was very pleasant .
Ravelston House – EdinburghExcellent food and service. Beautiful surroundings. Nice and relaxed.
The Golden Lion Hotel – StirlingWe had our meal but unfortunately the vegetables were too hard and after one bite of them they got stuck in my throat and I could not breath correctly and had to run to the toilet to be sick and try to bring them back up which was very uncomfortable and could not eat any more of my meal .the meal was for our anniversary so it did not turn out to be a good day for me .
The Golden Lion Hotel – StirlingShocking, booked a table for 3 people for 3pm arrived early and shown to our table, ordered food , 3 roast dinners 2.50pm by 3.45 no food asked the waitress she said there was a 30 minute delay?? But she would speak with kitchen I’m still waiting, needless to say we didn’t receive our meal and left will not be returning.
Ravelston House – EdinburghWe had our meal in your restaurant but unfortunately it was not a good experience. When I received my meal it looked lovely but unfortunately the vegetables were too hard and when I took my first bite they got stuck in my throat and I could not breathe I had to go to the toilet and was sick and tried to bring them back up it was very uncomfortable and I then couldn’t eat the rest of my meal so it was not a good time for me and it spoiled my anniversary day
The Golden Lion Hotel – StirlingAbsolutely amazing meal - lovely situation, charming, simple interior. Service was so friendly and helpful. A little pricey, but worth it. The food was so very delicious - amazing flavour, cooked to perfection. Heaven!
Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeEaster Sunday lunch, was busy as expected, but service was quick and staff attentive. Good portions of the food which was delicious and well presented.
Ravelston House – EdinburghDreadful experience, restaurant full of noisy kids and adults not what my wife and I expected at that time of night.
Ravelston House – EdinburghThis was a wonderful place. The staff were welcoming and so helpful especially as we were a larger group. Only a few customers can eat here at a time. The food was very delicious with an amazingly good choice of options. I had scallops to start followed by halibut. Food was served promptly and the staff were very friendly. Choice of drink too was reasonably good with even champagne as an option. The fish is fresh and the chef knows what he/she is doing. This is a place you must visit when on the Isle of Mull.
