Good restaurant with very pleasant staff and prices are reasonable
Giulianos – EdinburghThis restaurant was by far the worst in the world. if you want crap then go here.
ONeills – Glasgowi think it as one the best curries i have tried and i will be back. very fresh prompt and friendly service Glasgow should be proud
Ashoka – GlasgowGreat decor, great service and the food was good but not outstanding. I'll put my house on it that there is a lack of Italians in the Kitchen. My Pasta Al Forno was poorly executed. However, knowing the generally poor quality Italian restaurants in Glasgow that have been polluting our citizens taste buds for a generation now, I fully expect this place to continue to do well.
Andiamo – GlasgowA glorified fast food joint. An insult to anyone who knows what Italian food is about. If this place were in Rome it would be closed down. This being Glasgow however, people are perfectly happy to be fed this rubbish and the place is heaving. Go figure.
Di Maggios – GlasgowI usually find I am lucky if there is one course on the menu which appeals so it was a pleasant change to be presented with real choices from starter through to dessert. We were not disappointed in terms of quality but the portion served up for a main course was too nouvelle cuisine for my taste - or wallet. Service was efficient without being especially welcoming while the dining experience, which should have been enhanced by the drama of the architecture, was diminished by the constant dull thud of what passed for music emanating from the bar next door where we had thought better of partaking of a pre prandial or two on exposure to its sight and sound.
The Corinthian Club – GlasgowUsually have my lunch there which I understand the lunch rush hours, and that's really great when you only get 45 mins for lunch. I would have thought at night time when it's quieter we could enjoy our meals better, but no, we are greeted with the usual rudeless from our, almost, daily waiter friends.
China Sea Restaurant – Glasgowvery good food @excellent service
Ashoka at The Mill – GlasgowIt's great if you're looking for a quick meal, in-n-out. Don't give comments/complaints to the manager, you'd receive a lecture, or some cheek. There is one or two really nice staff who are really well spoken but that's all. Wouldn't recommend a night out, but do highly recommend if you're tight for cash.
China Sea Restaurant – GlasgowMy husband and I ate at the relocated Plumed Horse, never having made it down to the original in Dumfries & Galloway. Now we see what all the fuss is about! The service is very professional yet restrained and friendly at the same time. The decor is pleasant, with lots of light from the large windows. The food is absolutely first rate, amongst the best I've ever eaten anywhere, ever! The scallops are so fresh they must have been alive that morning, as was the accompanying Sea Bass. A canneloni of Raspberries has to be eaten to be believed! A welocme addition to the rising culinary hotspot of Leith. Highly recommended on all fronts.
Plumed Horse – EdinburghTh best eating place by far. Had my wedding reception here. The family can't do enough for you. Thanks for all our visits. Jim and Lynda
SJ @ Snooks – GlasgowExcellent restaurant. We visited Fabio's (25 of us). and couldn't fault anything as usual!!!!!!!!!!!
Fabios Restaurant – EdinburghA party of four we booked for lunch last Saturday. The food was good (but not good enough at this price), the location & decor very disappointing and the staff adequate but somewhat subdued. Three of the party had the monkfish in pancetta main course and found it not to their taste - a risk we all take with a small menu. Everything else was OK - but only OK & I, for one, may have considered a return visit on the basis that everyone has off days. That was before we were harrassed, insulted, berated and finally followed out on to the street by an obviously 'highly strung' chef. We won't go back, we couldn't recommend it and, frankly, it probably doesn't matter - it is hard to see a long term future for the Plumed Horse when there are so many better places to go nearby.
Plumed Horse – EdinburghNot a patch on the one in Ediburgh. Food was OK but not the biggest portions by any means and the prices were virging on rip off and would not bring me back through the doors again.
Filling Station – GlasgowKatie's Diner is my most favourite place to eat in Edinburgh. The food is always excellent as everything is cooked by Katie herself. I always have the Mexiburger and the Apple Crumble is wonderful. The portions are huge and come inclusive of all the extras. I recommend Katie's to all my friends.
Katies Diner – EdinburghI have eaten here several times both with my wife and with friends.I have always enjoyed myself here. Prices are very reasonable. food and wine are excellent.great atmosphere.
Bar Napoli – EdinburghI had a brilliant dinner with my family everything was spot on so i can honestly say it was one of the best restaurant i have been in along time. I would advice to book as it is a small place.
La Bruschetta – Edinburghi myself work for martin wishart and he is a great boss the produce that arrives every day is so fresh whether its the langostines still crawling about or the organic vegetables still coated in earth it just opens your eyes to the world of fresh produce . i have also dined in the restaurant and it is every bit as good as le gaveroche if not better
