Tremendous dinner on Saturday night. Best shellfish
Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeFood good as always although disappointed in the choice of menu when using Wowcher voucher. I have dined at Steak and Cherry many times and always impressed with choice on menu. Would not recommend anyone to dine using a Wowcher code
Steak and Cherry – GlasgowGreat food and lovely service. Options as well for vegetarian diners. The menu is varied and there's lots of choice to be had. Our hostess was very attentive throughout our meal! Will definitely be back.
Crumb – DumfriesTo mark the end of a week staying on Mull we, two couples, booked to eat at Cafe Fish. Our only regret is that we did not eat there earlier in the week because, if we had done that, we would have had time to go back again. The food, service and atmosphere were all excellent. On pouring our wine we noticed that a glass was marked on the inside. We drew this to the attention of a staff member who immediatly apologised and promptly provided a replacement. This was typical of the informal but professional attitude displayed by the staff. All 4 of us, including a vegetarian, really enjoyed what we ate. Full marks all round and we are very happy to recommend to others.
Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeLovely atmosphere and helpful staff. Only downside was limited gluten free options.
Ravelston House – EdinburghIf you like fish you absolutely have to visit cafe fish as the food is incredible! It was, by far, the best meal we had on our recent visit to Mull and Skye and we will definitely go back if we visit again. Great service too!
Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeCame here for a meal on the night of the musselburgh parade was expecting it to be busy as been here for the past 2 years on the same night but never had a problem food wise. Unfortunately last night was not the best I ordered pretty much straight away and the waitress did say there was a delay in food coming out due to how busy it was which was expected but had to wait nearly an hour for 2 starters 1 of which was for a child which was shocking. Main courses came out pretty much straight after starters were cleared but the macaroni cheese that I had was Luke warm not even hot didn't want to complain as waited that long for food. Even the table that we were sat next too I had heard them say they had waited nearly an hour and half for food and were just about to walk out. Never usually like this and just seemed to be the one older waitress working which I can't fault as she was lovely, and it was a shame on her having to do everything. I'm not sure what happened, but definatley needed more staff on, on such a busy night.
Ravelston House – EdinburghParty of 8 high tea. Excellent quality mains… served nice and hot. Very good service. Scones 10/10, cakes 9/10 but tray bakes 5/10. Presentation lovely
The Golden Lion Hotel – StirlingWe keep coming back... Excellent food, friendly staff, friendly atmosphere. Don't hesitate and book a table.
Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeLovely meals that were cooked to perfection. Ordered from set menu which has lots of choices. Friendly staff and great service. Beautiful decor. Highly recommend this restaurant. Looking forward to returning soon.
Crumb – DumfriesIn this friendly bistrot, not only the seafood is the catch of the day, but also the cooking is just marvellous. As starters, we had fantastic smoked salmon and grilled Croig lobster. And as main dishes, Mull scallops and a nice halibut. It is a little bit expensive but the small portions are enough for a French appetite and it’s worth the quality. Booking is a must.
Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeWhat a wonderful find. My husband had the superbly fresh oysters with Bloody Mary garnish and we both had the special turbot with creamy leeks, peas and crispy pancetta-wonderful. Book early to avoid disappointment, it is really worth the effort. Superb ingredients cooked fabulously.
Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeLovely meal as always . We couldn’t fault it. Friendly helpful staff, especially Dee. Would definitely recommend.
The Golden Lion Hotel – StirlingMy favourite place to eat. Never miss a visit when in Tobermory. Latest meal was oysters and half a (big!) lobster. Excellent. Staff are really good too.
Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeWonderful way to round off a trip to Mull. Service was wonderful and the meal was fantastic. So many delicious options to choose from, just wish I had room to have tried more!
Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeCan't remember when I had so great a choice of interesting fish dishes. My grilled sea bass with champagne and mussel sauce was brilliant and my wife's langoustines with a touch of chilli equally special. I wish I was staying longer in Tobermory so I could go again.
Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeWe couldn’t get in during our last visit in 2020 due to Covid restrictions. So we were very much looking forward to it. We were not disappointed. All the food was truly wonderful. The best (and possibly the biggest!) lobster I have ever had. Can’t wait to go back!
