Steak and Cherry – GlasgowAnother excellent lunch at the Anchorage - good size portions of tasty food, friendly service. Seafood Linguine the stand out today, though Sweet Potato Chilli Soup was a close second!
The Anchorage Restaurant – AyrshireHad a lovely evening at Steak & Cherry. Our host couldn’t have been any more helpful. He was involved from start to finish and although he found himself a little thrown with my wowcher voucher he had no clue was out, he made sure we both had what we came for and we left very happy! Food was incredible - Nachos to share & x2 M/R Ribeye and chips! Cocktails were delicious also - pain killer and pina colada. Service 10/10 Oh and the atmosphere was very pleasant and calm. Definitely returning
Steak and Cherry – GlasgowFood was very good and generous sized portions. Between us we had haggis bon bons, brie and soup starters and all good. Most of us had haddock and chips which was huge. We were put in separate room for our birthday celebrations and staff were very friendly, attentive and efficient. We all thought it was value for money and would go again.
Ravelston House – EdinburghWe had an early dinner here before going to the Kings Theatre. Two minutes walk- perfect. Staff very friendly and the food was good. Service wasn’t rushed. When we arrived at 17:00 it was quiet however by 17:30 it was buzzing. We will definitely go back. Just be careful, there is a shallow step at the entrance which I didn’t notice and I tripped on it.
Steak and Cherry – GlasgowWent for a meal the other night. Food was outstanding but service let it down. First chap seemed to be running around everywhere and young girl was very unsure. It was small things like having to ask for cutlery after our dinner had been presented that let it down
The Anchorage Restaurant – AyrshireIt was a nte at the theatre and we booked in here for a meal, OMG it was fabulous, the servers were so polite, attentive and were trying so hard to ensure our dining experience was effortless and very pleasurable. The meals were mainly steak and they were so delightful, melting in the mouth delicious, will definitely book again.
Steak and Cherry – GlasgowWent with friend for an afternoon tea. Friendly staff and great service. The food was good sandwiches were extremely fresh, the only criticism would be that the scones were tiny!
Ravelston House – EdinburghFabulous restaurant with very professional and knowledgeable staff.Made to feel extremely welcome which helped make our short vacation a very memorable experience.A special mention to Maz and Megan both very enthusiastic and erudite,we will definitely be visiting again soon☺️
The Golden Lion Hotel – StirlingWent with my wife on valentines night had a lovely 2 course meal , staff where amazing and so was the food.
Steak and Cherry – GlasgowSuch a lovely time. Lucus was attentive. Onwwers so friendly and open. Had a laugh. Food so nice and lovely time on valentines night. Such a lovely place to dine and eat. So relaxed and laced back. Good menu and plan to return with in the month. Taste the seafood linguine. Really enjoyed our fish chips. Thank you so much Anchorage. Doing a great job and will be back. Kind regards Yvonne Flood
The Anchorage Restaurant – AyrshireAverage food, premium price. The haddock was overcooked and very dry. Not great considering they charge the best part of £20 for a full one. Much better food at the chippy down the road. The macaroni was bland, and the same size as the child’s portion. The salad on the plate was old and not edible. Don’t spend £15 on this. The curry was extremely spicy, but no indication of level of spice on the menu. Advertised outside that kids eat free during the holidays, but charged us £7.50 for our kid’s meal. They brought my wife out the wrong course, didn’t apologise, and acted like we were inconveniencing them resolving the issue. My wife had to eat alone after we had all finished. Unfriendly waitress who looked like she really didn’t want to be there. Don’t waste your money, go somewhere else.
Ravelston House – EdinburghLovely, very fresh fish and chips and friendly staff.
The Anchorage Restaurant – AyrshireFood was very good although the chili cheese burger was a little disappointing there was no heat atoll to the chilli rather bland the burger itself was beautiful ,service was amazing very attentive and food service was smooth not having to wait a long time within courses the chocolate orange torte was amazing thoroughly enjoy desert and we will be returning very soon thanks again
The Golden Lion Hotel – StirlingFantastic meal. Busy Saturday night but service was great, the waiter was attentive and quick at replenishing our drinks. Everyone's food was excellent.
Ravelston House – EdinburghBooked a dinner on Sunday night for 4 adults and 2 kids. Food was lovely and well presented. Staff were friendly but didn't seem too confident at taking orders nor at collecting the plates after we ate. Bit disappointed as well that we had to ask what the soup of day was and not to be told. Overall beautiful hotel and enjoyed the meal.
