Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeWent to Cafe Fish twice on my recent stay in Mull. I found it via online reviews and booked for both nights. My tour guide (for an island tour) told me it was the best restaurant on the island and it was fabulous. I had the Moules mariniere from the huge specials board on the first occasion and it was the best mussels I've ever had - they just melted. I'd been past the Inverlussa mussel beds earlier in the day so it was good to have seen how local they were. I had a small portion which was quite enough for me (with chips). The chocolate pot for dessert was perfect. I was travelling, and therefore eating on my own and I didn't feel uncomfortable. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. On the second occasion I had the fish pie from the main menu, again a half portion, and it was really good with big chunks of identifiable fish. I would definitely go back and recommend it
Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeJust love Cafe Fish. Had a wonderful starter of smoked salmon and beetroot horseradish. Then the best scallops with chorizo and cauliflower. Expensive but worth it and very accommodating and friendly staff. Will be back!
Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeEnjoyed me birthday meal with my son. We had the fish and chips feast, which was delicious, as usual. Thank you.
Ravelston House – EdinburghBooked a table at sorrentos in orrell for a special birthday, very accommodating especially when I rang to say done of us round be late due to being stuck on motorway. Friendly staff but extremely busy as the restaurant was full. Food was beautiful and the atmosphere was lovely too
Cafe Neuk – AberdeenLovely little cafe with friendly accomodating staff. Look forward to returning in Spring/Summer and make use of outdoor seating in the lovely garden.
Cafe Neuk – AberdeenLunch with friends. Not a special occasion but always a treat at Cronies! We opted for the high tea, Willie having quite the sweet tooth. He went for the steak pie with saute potatoes and pronounced it grand, Julia was guided to the smoked cheese macaroni and though not usually a big pasta fan was very impressed, (me too, I had it last time). Myself chose the battered haddock and chunky chips and both were excellent. Your staff are so cheerful (dare I say chirpy?) and welcoming, they nip in and out and are never intrusive. The restaurant has warmth and an old world charm so rare nowadays, and harks back to an age of civility and service that is quite evocative. Don't change a thing!
The Golden Lion Hotel – StirlingWe were disappointed that a fish Cafe failed to actually champion fish. My laungostine was a miserable portion for paying additionally for it. I doubt it was no more than one sliced into 4 slices. Very disappointed. My husband's lobster had less than 20 blobs of leg meat on his pizza.
Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeHad a lovely meal yesterday evening. Food and atmosphere were great. The young girl (didn't catch her name) who has served us a few times now is always so nice and very customer friendly. Nothing was too much bother.
