Great food, great atmosphere, the best restaurant in city !
Yatai Izakaya – AberdeenA really great find. great pub with excellent beer and food. I was doing the St Cuthberts Way and stayed nearby. The real ale was a proper pint, Tyneside Blonde I think. The was or is Michelin recommended too. I had parmesan chicken which was exactly what I needed after 18 miles walking. Stayed for 3 pints with the very friendly locals, surprising being a walker and English!
Cross Keys Inn – BordersWe had an amazing weekend at the hotel and enjoyed its fabulous restaurant!
Chez Mal Brasserie – EdinburghFirst class meal in first class surroundings. Wine and service to match.
Number One @ The Balmoral Hotel – EdinburghOne of the best Indian meals we have had. Tapas style where you order 2 or 3 dishes each. Lots of excellent choice and not just the old favourites.
Mother Indias Cafe – EdinburghLove this pub near Biggar on the road to Edinburgh. We always stop here for lunch and good beer on the way to the city from England. Food is very good with big portions. Real ale always good too. Real fires, lost of character and good county walks from the Inn.
The Flotterstone Inn – EdinburghThis bar is so dead it should be 're-named the mortuary bar.
Moriarty Bar – EdinburghI was staying in Glasgow on vacation at a 5 star hotel. I loved the hotel, but the food wasn't the best. I passed by Byron's and stopped in. It was the best meal around. The hamburger was perfect, the fries, and the shake. And the manager came around and told me about the local attractions, which I tried. What a wonderful place! I would highly recommend it! Great hospitality as well
Byron Hamburgers – GlasgowMyself, friends & family have been coming to mi amore since it first opened 7 years ago. The staff are extremely friendly and are always willing to go that extra mile for their customers. Its extremely cheap which is crazy because the food is some of the best I've ever tasted. I have never had a bad meal! Wide variety of food and drinks on the menu as well. We often bring my nieces & nephews in and they are well taken care of. The owner is such a gem. Supper friendly and always has a big smile. Couples date night, family get together, hen/stag night? its perfect for every occasion. Family friendly business.
Mi Amore – AberdeenMy parents and I ate here on Sunday 19th, very disappointing. The 3 of us ordered soup and 2 brown bread 1 white. Firstly we got 2 white bread 1 brown. Soup was clearly out of a can and had been watered down. Main course ordered 2 macaroni & cheese with chips and 1 order of Haddock & chips. The macaroni came with very little cheese sauce, the chips were clearly out of a packet and the peas, with the fish, were clearly out of a can. Table service was amateurish also. No place likes receiving poor reviews. My advice before you get another review not to your liking, get a new chef, simple.
Learney Arms Hotel – AberdeenReally excellent Indian restaurant. Lots of small plates flying at us which we devoured. Left it to the head waiter to choose them all and every one was great. It's a busy place with a buzz. Great food in a casual enviroment
Mother Indias Cafe – EdinburghA first class restaurant in a first class hotel. Its only fitting the best hotel in town has a Michelin star. The Number One restaurant has its own entrance and is at basement level. Service was as you would expect and the excellent menu was delivered well. Wine list covered all bases.
Number One @ The Balmoral Hotel – EdinburghOne of the best hotels I have stayed in! real luxury in a perfect location in Edinburgh!
Hadrians @ The Balmoral Hotel – EdinburghBest steaks in Tayside by a mile.
The Moncrieffe Arms – PerthWas here earlier about 18:35 great place and hope to be back soon.
