Ravelston House – EdinburghLovely meal, great service- our favourite restaurant!
Crumb – DumfriesWent here for my fiancé’s birthday. For my starter I got coconut prawns and he got chicken wings, both were lovely and came out really hot. For our mains, I got chicken fajita pasta and he got the Hawaiian ribeye. The pasta was really nice and came with a flatbread. The only thing I would say was maybe the chicken wasn’t as moist as I would’ve liked it. My partner really enjoyed his steak and it came cooked perfectly. He said it was one of the nicest steaks he’s had. Of course I tried some and it was amazing, the marinade/rub/whatever was on it was delicious. The steak portion was massive! We didn’t manage dessert. The service was really prompt and the staff were nice and happy to help! The setting of the restaurant itself was lovely. It is a small place and you can see the chefs cooking, but I personally like that! You could tell everything was fresh. I enjoyed the music in the background. For a drink each, a starter each and a main each, we were just under £60. I felt this was reasonable for the high standard of food, and I was happy I chose Crumb for the occasion! I would definitely return.
Crumb – Dumfrieswe Took my aunt and uncle here for a meal when we were visiting, food was great all freshly cooked, can recommend the calamari, also eaten and enjoyed was tempura prawns, haggis fritters and spring rolls. the steak and ale pie was delicious, I asked for mash instead of chips. All enjoyed the cheesecake. The restaurant was bright and airy and the staff were helpful and cheerful, would definitely recommend.

Crumb – DumfriesThe food was lovely. Service is shocking: very slow and staff need to learn basics of giving customers cutlery! The staff however were lovely they’re just needing training

Ravelston House – EdinburghNice welcome. Menu is very good - one of our party is GF and so had plenty of items to choose from the menu. I had Haggis Chicken - absolutely fab; a very generous portion for £16 and my wife and son had the GF penne fajita chicken which they enjoyed. Wine was excellent - we had the Merlot which was great. Service good. This was our first time in Crumb - we will return! Thanks to all.

Ravelston House – EdinburghSecond time visiting Crumb and thoroughly enjoyed once again! The food is great. Quality and great value. The customer service is perfect. Halloumi and garlic mushrooms to start, both delicious. French dip, beef short rib and chicken parma were all perfect. Portions are generous. Will find an excuse to return to Dumfries and Crumb again soon!
