Delhi Darbar – GlasgowI very highly recommend this restaurant friendly service great food and the staff know you when you revisit i have been going there since i was 5 and go on a Sunday every week Christmas day is a great time to visit as they bring out santa and they give the kids a selection box and they might even take your picture with santa i have had my party in there and so has my friend reserve your table as they are always busy and it is hard to get a seat if you are booking your Christmas dinner do it early and you will be sure of getting a table. For Great value for money, delicious food ,great service and a great atmosphere visit the delhi darbar.
Delhi Darbar – GlasgowReally enjoyed watching you guys on the F Word. Thought you came out very well and preferred the look of your meal. well done anyway.
Chop Chop – EdinburghReturn to this place over and over again. Every dish I have ever tried is always brilliant, the service is great and the prices cant be grumbled at. Yes even when you book a table you need to wait, but I think the fact it is so busy speaks for itself.
Delhi Darbar – Glasgowwe had dinner at the Bonnybank Inn last Friday and it was the best Mexican food we have ever eaten. The concept of both the food and hospitality was truly amazing, we cannot wait to going back.
The Bonnybank Inn – Fifeeverytime i visit Aberdeen,Gurkha kitchen is must perfect Nepalese cuisine takeaway, good food and polite service .
Gurkha Kitchen – AberdeenBest curry in aberdeen for Reasonable price.
Gurkha Kitchen – AberdeenAnarkali is my local curry house, but I would travel across Glasgow to get to it - its really that good. However, I'd like to comment on the remarks below which concern me about the area. I live in one of those traditional Glasgow tennament flats or 'dosshouses' as the previous comment says, drink in many of the 'dens', or pubs as we call them and have never witnessed a drive by shooting in all my years there and in the vast number of visits to Anarkali, have never witnessed any ladies of the nite, drunks swigging from vodi bottles or curry flying around. Dont be put off by the last comment, its the south side of Glasgow - not Helmand Province!!
Anarkali Indian – GlasgowYou can get some of the best Indian food in Glasgow at The Village, especially the cafe downstairs. But Oh Dear - the toilets! The management don't seem to realise that customers expect CLEAN toilets with hot water, soap and paper towels or a working hand dryer. They serve great food and it's amazing value for money but for goodness sake spend a few quid to civilise the toilets!
Village Curry House – Glasgowoverpriced and bland food, there is a clique problem with the staff and they are not very friendly, portion control is a joke for what you pay, their curry sauce was nice tho but that doesnt take a genius to make, lower the prices i know its a theme park but at those prices its a rip off
Fat Fryer – Motherwellwow enough said
Atlantic Fast Food – MotherwellI went to Bonsai the other day and had their dinner special, Nabe. It was fantastic!!! The waitress brought it out with a candle and a wee stand to keep the hot pot lifted over the candle. The broth and all the veg was amazing, along with the duck meatballs! I also had an interesting side, a cheese gyoza-- deep fried parcels with cheese in them.. Awesome. The service was also quite nice, the girl came to our table and went over bits of the menu with us and didn't seem put off to help us. This place was aces!
Bonsai Bar Bistro – EdinburghGreat fish & chips and reasonably priced too. The service is quick and the staff are very friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for our waitress Kerry.
Leven Bay Cafe – FifeExcellent fish and chips - large portions of fresh haddock - fish supper typically 2 good sized pieces of fish and tasty traditional chips - c£4.20 - roughly a pound cheaper than Livingston or Edinburgh and far superior.
Leven Bay Cafe – FifeUnder the stewardship of renowned restaurateurs David and Lesley Foxton, the Maltings Kitchen has been reborn as a chic and contemporary eatery with an outstanding wines list and an easy charm. A simple, delicious menu is set off by incredible views over the River Tweed across the Georgian roofscape of Berwick-within-the-ramparts and the Jacobean Berwick Bridge. The Maltings Kitchen is set at foyer level in The Maltings Theatre - which has itself been recently extensively refurbished - and it is possible to obtain a pre-theatre supper, including a delicious glass of house wine, for just £10 on performance nights. Outstanding value; simple, delicious food; a warm ambience and a unique and inspirational location all make this one of my favourite restaurants.
The Maltings Kitchen – BordersOk well Ive been to this restaurant a few times at lunchtime and been very impressed with the menu and lovely setting. The food is fab. However, yip you've guessed it there's a but coming; BUT I have recently been for an evening meal. Now first of all I looked at the menu online , nothing to say sample menu etc however the actual menu differs greatly not just in content but in price. Very limited and to be honest it was difficult to find something to choose as everything seemed to be accompanied by something a bit odd!! My falafel were ok, nothing I couldn't make at home from a packet mix though and my potato wedges were definitely reheated in some for or other. So to be honest MY opinion is give the evening menu a miss but enjoy the lunchtime food. Oh the service was really slow we were sat near to the lift where the food came up from the kitchen and ours sat in it for at least 10mins before the lovely but overworked waitress had time to serve the food. So Hullabaloo don't remain complacent just because you get the custom please sort out your website and hire more staff!! oh and stop trying too hard with the fancy combinations, just a wee bit.
Hullabaloo – DumfriesThis is one of the best restaurants in East Kilbride. Its menu is varied and caters for people who don’t like seafood. For those seafood lovers, the fish is very fresh and is cooked to perfection. The staff are friendly and attentive. It is quite a small restaurant so to avoid disappointment I would recommend you book beforehand, especially weekends. It is also good value for money and if you have an appetite after your main course, I would definitely try their desserts as they are delicious
Peters Seafood Restaurant – GlasgowAfter 8 years away from China sea restaurant, nothing much has changed apart from spoiled choices from their economic menu. I was surprised one of the waiters, a talkative young man, actually remembered us after all these years. My wife and I ordered our usual meals, but to our disappointment, not only were there no improvements with this economic downturn, the meals were worst than before. The really upsetting moment was when we pleasantly give the management a comment, since we were asked at the end of our meal, we were given rude feedback. Apparently the manager just can't accept the truth. One last comment, my wife noticed a hygiene issue which must have been overlooked by the Environmental health officers, is that the ladies toilet, not to mention tiny, is carpeted, which shouldn't be ( or is it acceptable? ) for hygiene reasons. Anyway, these are just our experience recently in the China Sea.
