Wow. One of the best roasts i have had. Beef cooked perfect. My partner had the pork and said it was beautiful. Service was really good and a lovely atmosphere. Will be back VERY soon.

The Bull – ShrewsburyVery good food, attentive service at a competitive price. Nothing else like it in Wem, would recommend.

The Bull – ShrewsburyWe went to the Bull for our Christmas dinner this year & it did not disappoint it was fabulous. The staff were great and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you so much. We will definitely be back.
The Bull – ShrewsburyWonderful Christmas day meal. Great service and atmosphere. Chestnut soup was fabulous and desserts lovely. Only criticism was that the vegetarian main was nowhere near as 'special' as last year. Both were wellingtons but last year's was wonderful with lovely veg but this year's tasted and looked like a cheese and potato pasty served with bland mash. I may be a bit sensitive about restaurants compromising on vegetarian meals but there really was no comparison to my meal in 2021. Everything else was wonderful.
The Tilley Raven – ShrewsburyExceptional Christmas dinner. Excellent food and perfect service.
The Tilley Raven – ShrewsburyDisappointing! Hadn't been for a long time. Far too long a wait for food to be served, not the best roast dinner we have tasted. Crackling did not arrive with pork. It would be useful to see the dates on previous reviews.
The Bull – ShrewsburyI went to The Bull for a Christmas dinner with a group of friends. The food was excellent, the staff were incredible and the entire group had a lovely evening. We all agreed we will be going back soon.
The Bull – ShrewsburySuper food, as usual! Three of us shared a plate of warm breads with balsamic and olive oil and a bowl of olives whilst we waited for our Steak and Stilton Pie to be cooked to order. The appetiser was lovely as was the main course. Great pie, full of steak, beautifully cooked veg, Al dente, not soggy and overcooked like most veg can be. And the chips were the nicest I’ve had in a long time, piping hot and deliciously crispy. The service was friendly and attentive, and although the pub was fairly empty due to the weather, the atmosphere was still good because the place has a nice feel to it. all in all a great place for a pub meal.
The Bull – ShrewsburyWe waited over an hour for 4 main courses. The pub wasn’t busy and the staff didn’t come to apologise to say sorry for the wait. Main courses were tasteless, pork belly crackling was burnt, the list goes on. The only good thing was the lady serving us, she was very attentive with drinks. Won’t be coming here again anytime soon unfortunately.
The Bull – ShrewsburyWent for evening meal on a Tuesday night. We were greeted and looked after extremely well by the manager who was very friendly and chatty. We all had the pie of the day, which was chicken, ham and leek. It was very nice alongside lovely crispy chunky chips and well cooked aldente vegetables. I detest over cooked vegetables but these were just right! We shared a couple of puddings which was a nice end to the meal. The layout and decor of the pub is light and bright with a good feel to it. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening and will definitely be returning. Thank you!
The Bull – ShrewsburyBest Sunday roast I’ve ever had. Beautiful beef and everything else cooked to perfection. Good portion size too I was stuffed. 14 pounds for a beautiful roast I found a reasonable price for the quality and quantity. It is something for a treat now and again. Lovely staff too. Nice location in a little village you could go and have a nice walk before your meal ! Lovely pub (I think the bit we ate in was a converted barn?) with the beams showing that’s something I like. It was a bit echoey could be solved by putting some tapestries on the walls maybe (I am a bit hippy tho)
The Bull – ShrewsburySuper meal made even better by fabulous staff. My only criticism is the reliance on Gordon's Gin...there are sooo many excellent artisanal gins out there...Gordons is a lazy option. Thank you so much for a super evening.
The Bull – ShrewsburyVery good food. Very good service. Good atmosphere. Very happy will go again.
The Tilley Raven – Shrewsbury5☆☆☆☆☆ We've been going here a while, nothing is too much trouble for the staff here. We always have a lovely meal, if we have a problem staff always fix it. Could do with more vegetables on the roast dinner though. Prices are a bit steep but all good for a treat now and again. Can't recommend the bull enough.
The Bull – ShrewsburyThis place is a hidden gem. Great staff, great food. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. They are great with kids and dogs. We love the food and atmosphere which is why we keep coming back.
