Wonderful. Lovely food. Reasonably priced. Great pub with exceptional service.
The Tilley Raven – ShrewsburyFood quality was awful, slow and unprofessional service.
The Bull – ShrewsburyAbsolutely disgusting food, drove 15 miles to have a meal! Awful service, atmosphere and sent the meals back TWICE! And ended up back at home no food! Fuming and no one seemed in charge and the pub was empty in the restaurant expect for kids endlessly running through we parents made so noise in the bar it was ridiculous! Cold horrible pub!
The Bull – ShrewsburyReally nice pub - good food and friendly service.
The Bull – ShrewsburyWe come here regularly as a family, and with friends after mountain biking. The food and service is always amazing. Dog-friendly, the kids love it and has a really cosy, friendly atmosphere. Maybe some music playing would add to the atmosphere..? Would happily eat Sunday roast here every week.
The Tilley Raven – ShrewsburyNipped out to try Tilley Raven on Tuesday evening. It was really quite (as expected on a Tuesday) but place felt warm and cosy and the service was exceptional. No feeble attempt just because we were the only diners on arrival which was really appreciated. Our server was pleasent and went the extra mile. The chef (who we later found out was the trainee) made some wonderful food for us to the point we assumed he was the main chef (we'll be back to try his food). The only odd bit was the desert. My chocolate tart was served warm (so the chocolate melted) and my daughters sundae was actually two scoops of ice cream in a bowl... still, both tasted lovely. Would recommend going here if you're fairly local. We drove over from Dudleston. Good to know we have another nice pub within an easy drive.
The Tilley Raven – ShrewsburyAbsolutely fabulous meal again couldn’t fault a thing beautifully presented we will be back Sunday
The Tilley Raven – ShrewsburyWe booked a table for five people at 3pm on Sunday 2nd June. We were welcomed by very friendly staff who prepared our drinks and showed us to our table. We ordered three roast beef and one pork ( plus an extra yorkshire for my 94 year old mother in law - she didn't realise how huge they were ! ). My brother in law ordered the steak pie and mash. The meals arrived and were absolutely gorgeous. So much varied veg, nice amount of meat and plenty of gravy. My brother in law said it was one of the best pies he had ever tasted. Three of us managed a dessert. We were very pleased that we had chosen the Tilley as Sunday roast can be a little hit and miss sometimes. Thank you so much for a very enjoyable couple of hours.
The Tilley Raven – ShrewsburyFood was amazing! hot, tasty and plenty of it, really friendly staff, clean and nice atmosphere, would definitely recommend trying food and drinks at the Tilley Raven.
The Tilley Raven – ShrewsburyGreat Food and Lovely Staff will definitely be back when we're next in the Area.
The Bull – ShrewsburyWe were looking for somewhere new to go out for a family meal, and someone suggested The Bull. Very pleasant staff, nice ambiance and good food. Definitely recommend.
The Bull – ShrewsburyVery easy to book a table. Very friendly Staff. Great service. Very reasonable priced and excellent food, what more could you ask for. We had a very enjoyable evening at The Bull. We would definitely recommend and will certainly be visiting again.
The Bull – ShrewsburyFirst of all the staff were totally fine and no issue to report there. There were some minor aspects of the food to report as feedback - not complaining just feedback. Appreciate the meals are pre defined on a menu but they should be accurate. Smoked belly pork with duck fat potato terrine was served with mash. Brie wedge with pickled walnuts served with walnut pieces. Sea bass fillet served with pickled seafood served with samphire (close but misleading as you’d expect cockles mussels etc) As I say I think minor issues and not worth a complaint to staff trying to do a good job. It will disappoint many others though.
The Bull – ShrewsburyLovely pub, really friendly, helpful staff. Great food! Lovely atmosphere. Great wines too. Highly recommend.
The Bull – Shrewsburyhad a cracking meal here last night the pineapple salsa is amazing so good we went home n googled how to make it. the sticky toffee pudding is to die for as was the chocolate orange tart, but did expect pasty in a tarte so a bit supprised with that one.
The Bull – ShrewsburyNot eaten here before but we were impressed with the food choices, for vegetarians as well as omnivores, and all our meals were very tasty and not over priced. Good sized portions. Tempura vegetables particularly good. Good friendly service. Beer excellent!
The Tilley Raven – ShrewsburyWe came here on Tuesday about 6pm. it was fabulous, I had the SFC burger and my boyfriend had the raven burger. Both came out quickly and we were shocked at the size! They were presented beautifully. The lady on the bar was very attentive, made sure we were happy and was knowledgable with the menu, she recommended the burgers to us and we are so glad we chose these. We asked for a few changes and nothing was too much trouble. Inside was lovely and clean and very spacious. We can not wait to return when we are next visiting the area! I would recommend to everyone. When we went to pay our bill we noticed dog treats in a jar, we will be sure to bring our boy with us next time too knowing it’s dog friendly. Truly a hidden gem.
