Favourite pub in Oswestry. A proper real ale place with good beer and a good but small menu. The very low ceilings and stained glass give it a lot of character.

The Fox Inn – OswestryLovely grand old hotel right in the heart of Oswestry. An old 17th century coaching in. We used it as a base to explore the area and the pool/spa was perfect for my son. We had a great spacious room above the spa.
Wynnstay Arms Hotel – OswestryIts the best casual dining option in Oswestry. Good simple Italian food that is kid friendly. We enjoyed our pizzas and my Chianti by the glass was very pleasant.
Prezzo – OswestryMy daughter and I have visited ZiZi's twice now and have enjoyed it on both occasions. The menu has a lot of choice. We had pizza which was delicious. The staff were attentive and helpful. The food was value for money and it was an enjoyable experience. We will definitely visit again. Thank you
Zizzi – TelfordThis is a beautiful special and party events venue right in the heart of Oswestry. There is plenty of parking just paces from the entrance. Once inside you are treated to a breathtaking re-fit that could be from a film set.Fabulous gold studded walls are one of the main features together with a beautiful chandelier that shows off a stunning marquee type ceiling. The furnishings are again mainly in a gold studded material with 3 booths that are again tastefully done. With so many function type rooms on offer that in the main have to be dressed to bring them to life the atmosphere has already been created at The Carriages for you. Book it. You'll like it!.
Carriages – OswestryExcellent service and food and BIG NAANS!
Punjab Terrace Balti – BridgnorthExcellent service and food and BIG NAANS!
Punjab Terrace Balti – BridgnorthSunday 13 sept 13.10 hours. Sunday dinner was good but the veg was a bit hard. The pudding I did not enjoy. The service from behind the bar was very poor the barman was in the bar and not looking out for people in the dining room. The pub was nice and clean.
Coracle Tavern – ShrewsburyHaving visited the Golden Moments on many man occasions I can honestly say that their food is by far the best of any Indian restaurant that I have ever visited. Their service is excellent, the waiters are not imposing but a glance and they are at your side to see to your needs without having to attract attention. The meals are excellently presented and very tasty with their dishes being superbly spiced and very distinct in taste.I always take my visitors (from many countries) there and have never been disappointed.
The Golden Moments – LudlowThank you for smashing steaks again so succulent where do you get them from. We will see you next week .DH
Royal Oak Inn – OswestryWe went to Royal Oak on Monday evening. Lovely sirloin steaks lovely staff We will be going again soon.
Royal Oak Inn – OswestryHaving experienced an atrocious meal this past weekend I will definitely not be returning to Golden Moments. Ludlow has so much to offer in terms of quality food, however this restaurant is a real let down for the town. Myself and my partner found the staff to be very rude and quite obnoxious on occasions. Further to that we had to wait a considerable amount of time to be seated for a table we had booked a couple of weeks in advance. This may have had something to do with a larger party that they were trying to squeeze in. The food was nothing amazing and definitely does not live up to the hype and illusions of grandeur that the owners seem to have of it. It is tasty- but nothing more than your average curry that you could happily find in any town throughout Great Britain. In addition the prices were far too high and moving the dining chairs made it feel like you were skating on ice. I regret not looking at this website before visiting.
The Golden Moments – LudlowExcellent food & good friendly service. I will have no hesitation to recommend ;)
Bistro Jacques – ShrewsburyA party of nine went tues 6th oct for our friends birthday. Our waiter, ( Tim ) was excellent, he made the birthday girl feel really special. I must add I'm really fussy about my steaks, but it was cooked to perfection, just the way I asked it to be done. The chef (Tom) even came out to see if it was cooked to my liking. The service and the food were outstanding, and it's the best restaurant I've been to in a long time. The staff need a big pat on the back.
Bistro Jacques – ShrewsburyExcellent the staff were very friendly and helpful espcially LucyThank you
Hole In The Wall – ShrewsburyAte at Brooks last night and was very disappointed with the food and the service. prices are sky high average food and two members of our party were feeling ill in the everning. We will not be going back there again and the evening was a disaster
Brooks Around The Corner – OswestryExcellent asian food - well cooked and beautifully spiced. Salvation in the curry wilderness that is Shropshire!
