Had a lovely meal and service excellent after the cold initial greeting
The Malthouse – TelfordFood was great, as always but the last few times I’ve eaten here the service has been poor. This time, we arrived at 7pm - there were a handful of tables eating and a few drinking outside, enjoying the weather. No one was at the bar so we stood to wait, we got seated and had our drinks ordered. It then took over 30 minutes for our food order to be taken. I went to the bar to make the order. It was really disappointing.
The Swan At Ironbridge – TelfordFriendly staff, lovely food, great service.
The Last Inn – NewportWarm welcome from your bar staff, good atmosphere , table was a little dirty could have done with a bit more cleaning. Drinks and food knowledge from your friendly staff really excellent . Burger was disappointing, ribs excellent
The Smokey Cow – TelfordGreat meal as always
The Queens Head – OswestryAbsolutely wonderful meal provided by very friendly and helpful staff. Will be back again!
Water Rat – IronbridgeGreat choice for Sunday lunch. Food was really great. First impressions outside could be better, furniture is a bit scruffy & would benefit from painting. Maybe even some nice plants. Member of staff behind the bar and serving was slightly abrupt. Bit sharp. Enjoted our meal very much though so Thank-you. .
The Queens Head – OswestryAccommodating restaurant with regards to food intolerances and allergies. Freshly cooked food and nicely presented.
The White Hart – IronbridgeWent for Sunday lunch here and couldn’t fault the food even my fussy 9 year old son said it was amazing. It was just a shame that our experience was slightly tainted by the service. Once seated we had to keep asking when we wanted to order something as there wasn’t enough staff on and we had to wait quite a while once we had managed to order. We could hear that quite a few mistakes were being made by the kitchen with other tables around us and I felt sorry for the 2 members of staff who had to keep apologising and rectifying the errors. We would return for the food and just hope that it was a one off with the service as it is a lovely pub x
The Smokey Cow – TelfordAmazing food and service as always
The Swan At Ironbridge – TelfordLovely meal with efficient service. We ate 5 small plates and shared as a tapas style meal. Only downside was a man walking about in a vest top which didn't fit with indoor dining.
Water Rat – IronbridgeWe came Friday tea time after been recommended by friends… and we wasn’t disappointed staff was really friendly and our food was outstanding we will defo be coming again.
The Swan At Ironbridge – TelfordLovely village pub/restaurant. Great menu with lots of variety and choice. Good service. Food arrived well presented. Vegetable kebab first class. Unfortunately my husbands hunters chicken not so good. Great presentation but the chicken was very chewy. It wasn’t overcooked. Perhaps low quality chicken? Apple crumble absolutely superb. Large portions.
The Tilley Raven – ShrewsburyThe waitresses were friendly and the food tasted nice- my husband was especially happy with his steak. However, the nachos were overpriced for what they were and the children's meals small.
The Elephant Crossing – IronbridgeHad an amazing lunch at The Swan yesterday with friends. 3 meat esters and 1 vegetarian, and we were all very satisfied with the food, to the point where we just can't believe the bad reviews about the food! Theydon have the smokehouse veggie option, but the veggie hot dog was a great substitute option. Meat esters had 2 different types of ribs, brisket, chicken and sides (the mushroom dirty fries were amazing!!! Service was great and cost was spot on for the quality of food and service. Cannot fault The Swan and staff. Definitely will return. Thank you guys for a fab meal!
