Excellent service and Sunday lunch was superb.
The Tilley Raven – ShrewsburyWe have been several times now (weekday lunchtime and for Sunday lunch) and every time the service is faultless, the staff are friendly and helpful and the food is hot and delicious- reasonable price to! Will definitely be back again! One minor negative, the conservatory can get noisy, though no issues with the main part of the pub.
The Queens Head – OswestryOn a very wet day, we had a wonderfully tasty meal.
The Swan At Ironbridge – TelfordDesserts beautiful Good service Beef slightly rarer than personal preference Creamed leeks and mixed Mash a nice change Didn't agree with service change automatically added to bill
The White Hart – IronbridgeLovely pub, great staff. First class food. Great for couples, friends or families. Great value for money.
The Last Inn – NewportMeal booked at Tilley Raven after long drive from North. Staff were excellent and food too. All requests catered for and it was definitely a good recommendation from our Airbnb host at the Stables in Wem. Thxs
The Tilley Raven – ShrewsburyWere so lucky to have a wonderful chef Mark @Tilley Raven recently welcomed for breakfast before Wem Carnival so good just what you need to set you up for the long day ahead nothing is to much trouble Kerry always makes us very welcome . Thank you for having the faith in The Raven after it was closed for 2 years and supporting Tilley Village Carnival Float Looking forward to celebrating this Christmas with friends from the village hopefully Santa will visit again Just one little niggle please update the website with current photos of staff not those which have long departed .
The Tilley Raven – ShrewsburyOut with friends while staying nearby for a weekend away. The restaurant was a mess on arrival, with glasses stacked feet deep at the bar. Waistress who sat us for our table didn’t even know how to check a booking, or work out how to seat a table of six, took her three minutes to find someone who’s just shouted seat them up stairs it is empty. We sat on our own upstairs which was both nice for privacy but meant we had no atmosphere at all. What atmosphere there was, was supplied in the form of loud club music, which seemed an odd choice for a “Mexican” restaurant. Our drinks order was very slow to arrive, we had to remind the waitress of our drinks as some did not turn up. My Tequila sunrise was made with strawberry coulies not grenadine, a drink that came with a sparker didn’t, the old fashioned was supposed to be served with dry ice, it was not, nor did it contain orange or sugar, whiskey and soda water isn’t and old Fashioned. Which the waitress new as when she delivered it she just said, it wasn’t very good and walked off. we were told they were low on many types of meat but would make it work, what we assumed was there would be some meat, but there was a thin vale of meat in two sets of taco’s. Food came out randomly and some of the party finished before the rest of the food came out. Every single dish was okay, but clearly they should have turned us away instead of trying to seat us, even though we had booked. It would have been better to go somewhere else.
The Elephant Crossing – IronbridgeMinimal people in restaurant. Food was good. Service was awful: given food not even asked if we needed anything eg: sauces, bar lady dropped a glass which shattered & went everywhere as we ate staff were sweeping around us as we ate. Bill mix up our was £59, they gave us bill for £120, we said no they then couldn’t find our bill & finally found it with 2 table bookings on the same receipt hence why £120. Odd: A man came in sat playing music loud on his phone “elvis” he had no drink or food, the barman said to us “ sorry for music he will leave soon” & did. Quite an odd night - a shame as food was nice. Environment was unusual. Not sure would return
The Malthouse – TelfordFood was good, staff were attentive.
The White Hart – IronbridgeA lovely place and a first class meal. Trust me as I probably chose the messiest meat (the ribs) as I usually do but it was enjoyable and useful to have a wash later. Lovely to see Sarah again. Really nice we will return when next in Ironbridge.
Water Rat – IronbridgeWe have eaten here numerous times as well as bringing friends and family and it is always spot on. Food is always amazing and very well cooked, portions are great. Superb value for money. Staff are always brilliant and attentive. Love love LOVE it.
The Swan At Ironbridge – TelfordNice pub. Service was a bit slow on food. Looked like they were using only a couple of staff Friendly staff even so.
The Bull – ShrewsburyAccommodate our large party of 12 superbly. Food was excellent with large portion sizes. Had a really enjoyable time. Would recommend
The Tilley Raven – ShrewsburyWithout doubt the best Sunday lunch we’ve ever had. Family of 3, all said the same. Butter soft brisket, lovely roast potatoes, home made Yorkshire puddings, fresh vegetables, and plenty of it! Staff are all attentive and friendly, the beer is good too. Absolute gem of a find. We live over an hour away, and will definitely be back.
The Smokey Cow – TelfordGorgeous food, Yorkshire puddings were amazing, the lemon posset and brownies were heavenly. The only negative was that you’d run out of horseradish sauce but the creamed leeks did come a very close second with the mustard in them. Lovely setting, wonderful staff we will be back. Thank you very much
