Early mothers day lunch on the Saturday. Lovely food although we did think the desserts were very over priced, a waffle with chocolate sauce for over £6. Would go again

The Malthouse – TelfordExcellent food, really good options. Let down by the place not being clean, despite it being quiet. The floor had bits, the table wasn’t cleaned down properly as the was dried sauce on it still. The cutlery and glasses were not cleaned properly. It’s a lovely place, just needs a decent pot wash and diligent cleaner
The Elephant Crossing – IronbridgeService was good and very welcoming tood could do with less salt on the chips a variety of singers on one night would've been more enjoyable to listen to then just one without a guitar
The Swan At Ironbridge – TelfordReally good food and good value for money. Friendly staff too.
The Smokey Cow – TelfordAbsolutely beautiful restaurant. Staff were friendly and helpful and food was top quality. Brilliant service. Highly recommended
The Tilley Raven – ShrewsburyAmazing food, lovely warm welcome on arrival and waitress was lovely. Only downside was could have done with a little gravy on the Yorkshire as a little dry without but everything else was spot on! :) reasonably priced too and portion sizes were just right. Will definitely return!
The Smokey Cow – TelfordVery relaxed environment, great for families. We had Sunday lunch there, the meats were amazing (shame that the brisket had ran out) but we both thought that the veg was a little underdone, only just but it did stop the meal from being really special. I’m sure we’ll be back, hopefully the carrots won’t be as crunchy! :)
The Smokey Cow – Telfordhad the brisket Sunday lunch, my first thought was Where's the food! 2 roasters 2 pieces of tenderstem brocolli 2 parsnips which i don't like , few slices of meat which was way too peppery, and a flat yorkshire pudding honestly we won't go back
The Smokey Cow – TelfordWent for an early Mothers Day Lunch - expected on a Sunday the roast to be straight forward and a safe option. Beef was very chewy, service was slow, order wasn’t taken correctly, food average and not very warm. Won’t be recommending or returning.
The Malthouse – TelfordNice food, friendly staff! However we had a table for 6pm on a Saturday evening to be told they had ran out of one of the beers, there was no Ribeye or Rump steak left, no pork or mash potatoes! Great food and good value for money though!
The Bull – ShrewsburyLovely meal and good atmosphere. Especially liked the apple crumble. Great table service (thank you Amelia) Note that whilst you can pay by card any service charge has to be paid in cash!
The Tilley Raven – ShrewsburyThe food was lovely and service was good but did feel dark and dull where we were sat.
The Last Inn – NewportMy second visit and amazed once again with the lovely food, great service and fantastic staff. Brought three of my friends this time round all first timers and all loved it. Will definitely be back
The Elephant Crossing – IronbridgeWas great good and service highly recommend well worth a visit
The Elephant Crossing – IronbridgeThe food was great, the staff were attentive and friendly and the pricing was as reasonable and on par with similar places in the area. The only downside for us was that it was cold in the restaurant; some of us kept our coats on for much of the evening.
The Malthouse – TelfordMidweek and again great for a work/corporate meal with a few colleagues, great food and service and certainty
The Elephant Crossing – IronbridgeDined on Saturday with a table of 9 which when we got there was not ready even though I booked 5 days previously It seemed reasonably busy but after we ordered we were told there was a 30 mins wait for food In fact this was more like 40 mins, and bearing in mind our table was booked for 6.30 we didn’t eat our mains until after 8.30 pm Then to cap it all which was not their fault the power went off, and so we had no dessert and we couldn’t pay the bill This was done next day . You just couldn’t write it!!! Nick Prince
The Malthouse – Telford4 of us (adults) ate Sunday lunch at the White Hart - roast pork, pan-fried chicken plus roast trimmings and a beetroot Wellington. All the food was very, very tasty and there was plenty of it. The atmosphere felt a little stark and the service was only ok (waiting staff leaning across people, that sort of thing). I would go back and hope that the staff were having a better day.
