Lovely family Sunday lunch. I had the roast but the rest of the family ordered from the regular menu. All delicious.

Lovely family Sunday lunch. I had the roast but the rest of the family ordered from the regular menu. All delicious.
The Tilley Raven – ShrewsburyAttend regularly for Sunday lunch. Fabulous food every time and great value.
The Smokey Cow – TelfordFantastic food & service we had a fabulous night- many thanks to the young man serving us - the pork belly was amazing
The White Hart – IronbridgeBank Holiday Saturday. Family group and small baby. What we liked: Table ready for us on arrival Although we were a tad late this wasn't an issue at all Interesting menu, looking for a light meal as we were mid journey and had a good selection to choose from. Drinks arrived rapidly and the beer especially went down well. Food was freshly cooked and tasty. Short wait time. Baby did what babies do and made a real mess, this wasn't an issue either. In fact the service was exemplary, relaxed, efficient and friendly. We even returned shortly after leaving as we needed the baby change facility...Still not a problem. What we didn't like: Absolutely nothing. Well done team, we were made to feel very welcome and the Easter bunny beer taps were a big hit!!
Water Rat – IronbridgeSuperb food and service, great outside area, if you visit ironbridge visit the elephant crossing , you will not be disappointed
The Elephant Crossing – IronbridgeExcellent venue with great service, food and portions were large, cocktails were exceptional value and made really well, would highly recommend.
The Elephant Crossing – IronbridgeFood was wonderful, although very long wait for it to arrive. Place was empty and so expected exceptional service but it wasn’t. Main meal arrived and it was the wrong food, took a while to take dessert order and then that also arrived with the incorrect side order. Disappointing as the chefs clearly prepare food to a high standard.
The Last Inn – NewportWe have been a few times as we are local and we decided to take family for a meal, unfortunately we were very disappointed as the burgers were very dry as if they had been sat there for ages and warmed up. The sharing nachos also appeared to be sat there for ages. For the price of each meal you would expect a lot more and better quality! It was also very quite for a Friday night, maybe it has to do with the quality!
The Last Inn – NewportPleasant evening. Food was delicious and well presented. Huge pudding. Entertainment was good. Service was average and no check back on food.
The Tilley Raven – ShrewsburySuch a hidden secret in Wem that really should be much more popular. Incredible location, friendly and attentive staff, genuinely amazing food at a very good price. Highly recommended.
The Tilley Raven – ShrewsburyAnother great Sunday lunch at The Bull, friendly and attentive service, as always the food is delicious and plentiful. We keep coming back because it’s the closest to home cooked Sunday dinners we’ve found. Would highly recommend.
The Bull – ShrewsburyReally good meal on our first visit here. Super friendly and helpful staff, and a nice atmosphere too.
Water Rat – IronbridgeFor me, Sunday roast at The Malthouse is the one of the highlights of my week. I have been a regular visitor for close to two years, and I always enjoy the experience. Recently The Malthouse went above and beyond to provide me with my much loved Sunday roast and I would like to say a big thank you to the entire Malthouse team. I highly recommend The Malthouse and I am already looking forward to next Sunday.
The Malthouse – TelfordThe dining room was cold - we had to keep our jackets on. The starters were lovely (I had the mushrooms, my partner had the chorizo sausage). We both had roast pork for main, which was so riddled with fat I gave up eating it. The cauliflower cheese and apple sauce were brought out without spoons to serve them. We tipped the apple sauce on and I went to the bar to ask for a spoon for the cauliflower cheese. All the other vegetables were under the meat. The roast potatoes didn’t taste like roast potatoes they tasted as though they had been fried in a deep fat fryer. We prefer to have our vegetables served separate so we can choose only the veg we like. We both had apple crumble for dessert - the custard was cold and the crumble was full of rock hard pieces. Suffice to say we will not be returning.
The Tilley Raven – ShrewsburyMidweek with a few friends and perfect combination, atmosphere, chilled, good service, food really tasty and good value. Mixture of all the tacos between 4 of us and a couple of starters and 2 beers each 30 quid a head.
The Elephant Crossing – IronbridgeSecond visit to Suree’s Kitchen and it certainly won’t be the last. Food was again excellent and the service was friendly and attentive. My personal favourites are the Tom Yong Gong starter and fried ice cream dessert but it was all good. Not the cheapest but we’ll worth it.
Suree’s Kitchen – IronbridgeDecided last minute to take my daughter for dinner, greeted by “ sit where you would like “had to go to bar to order drinks, then had to catch staffs attention to order food, long wait considering there was only 3 couples dining . Never had anyone check our table, when finished our meal plates were not cleared, waitress walked past on more than one occasion, did not speak Not offered dessert menu. Upon deciding to leave had to go to the bar and attract attention as staff were a round the corner talking to drinkers, presented with the bill to include a service charge!!which I declined to pay. Sadly it was not a good experience and therefore will not be recommending , as a local business owner will not recommend, a real shame as we all like to support local
