Super family meal at the weekend. Staff were very helpful and happy to adjust some of the mains. We weren’t too keen on the fish platter as much was deep fried but salmon in prawn sauce was amazing as was sticky toffee pudding. Overall we felt it was a very professional set up

Nice place with good service. It was a quite Saturday afternoon so there wasn't any pressure on the kitchen. However unfortunately for us the food was average to poor. Starters over cooked. Crab cake was a hard crusty mainly empty shell containing a small amount of mashed potato. I did complain to the server but I should really have sent it back. The Black and Blue burger very average. Black pudding under cooked. Maybe it was the chefs day off I dont know but poor food meant poor value for money.

We were a party of four celebrating my birthday. It was obvious from when we arrived there was a shortage of staff. There was 1 member of staff running the bar , taking food orders and serving. We had to wait a while to order our food. The food took about 30 mins to arrive by which time my granddaughter was complaining she was hungry. When the food arrived we were very disappointed. The chips were burnt and greasy. The gammon was overcooked. The curry was greasy and prawn crackers were brown and greasy. The fish batter was also greasy. The kids menu should have come with beans. It was substituted for peas without asking. Our granddaughter doesn’t eat peas . We have been to the Bull numerous times. We have always been happy with the quality of food and service. We chose this venue as it was a special occasion and also dog friendly. We were very disappointed on this occasion and won’t be going back in the near future.

Been for evening meal and lunch the following day, food perfect, service excellent with some really friendly staff that you could have a laugh with, beer kept really well, (real ale drinker)

Ate here on Tuesday 10th September. Had the Tipsy Pig, pork cutlet with apple cider sauce on a bed of cabbage and onion and creamed mash. Food was very tasty and service very good. Good value for money.

We found the location and ambiance to be very nice and the staff very attentive. I was expecting a better choice on the menu which would have complimented the location.

3 of us had a Sunday roast. I booked a table and advised we had a dog. When we got there there was a bowl of water waiting. Service was quick and polite. The roast was some of the best we’ve had and the portions were substantial. Nothing to fault at all.

We have been several times now (weekday lunchtime and for Sunday lunch) and every time the service is faultless, the staff are friendly and helpful and the food is hot and delicious- reasonable price to! Will definitely be back again! One minor negative, the conservatory can get noisy, though no issues with the main part of the pub.

On a very wet day, we had a wonderfully tasty meal.

Meal booked at Tilley Raven after long drive from North. Staff were excellent and food too. All requests catered for and it was definitely a good recommendation from our Airbnb host at the Stables in Wem. Thxs

Were so lucky to have a wonderful chef Mark @Tilley Raven recently welcomed for breakfast before Wem Carnival so good just what you need to set you up for the long day ahead nothing is to much trouble Kerry always makes us very welcome . Out with friends while staying nearby for a weekend away. The restaurant was a mess on arrival, with glasses stacked feet deep at the bar. Waistress who sat us for our table didn’t even know how to check a booking, or work out how to seat a table of six, took her three minutes to find someone who’s just shouted seat them up stairs it is empty. We sat on our own upstairs which was both nice for privacy but meant we had no atmosphere at all. What atmosphere there was, was supplied in the form of loud club music, which seemed an odd choice for a “Mexican” restaurant. Our drinks order was very slow to arrive, we had to remind the waitress of our drinks as some did not turn up. My Tequila sunrise was made with strawberry coulies not grenadine, a drink that came with a sparker didn’t, the old fashioned was supposed to be served with dry ice, it was not, nor did it contain orange or sugar, whiskey and soda water isn’t and old Fashioned. Which the waitress new as when she delivered it she just said, it wasn’t very good and walked off. we were told they were low on many types of meat but would make it work, what we assumed was there would be some meat, but there was a thin vale of meat in two sets of taco’s. Food came out randomly and some of the party finished before the rest of the food came out. Every single dish was okay, but clearly they should have turned us away instead of trying to seat us, even though we had booked. It would have been better to go somewhere else.
