We (4 of us) had an excellent meal off the festive menu yesterday. The food and service was superb and we will be returning in the New Year to sample the normal menu.

The Tayleur Arms – TelfordGreat Sunday lunch , good value very tasty
The Swan At Ironbridge – TelfordWe came here for our works Christmas meal and it was lovely, much better than when we came 3 years ago. The food was hot, good portion sizes and nobody's meal was incorrect or forgotten. Table service for the drinks, which was very handy, lovely cocktails on offer, and a great atmosphere. Thank you for a lovely experience!
The Malthouse – TelfordWe all really enjoyed the food and we’re totally stuffed. But unfortunately we had a bad experience with our server. yes we took a while to figure out who was paying what amount but it’s not like it was busy and our table was needed for anyone else, just as much as it was not deserved for her to walk over to a colleague and pointed two fingers to her head as if to say shoot me. we weren’t being rude we just wanted to make sure we were all paying what we owed. we also wanted to christmas menu but we’re told we had to pre book that, but we hadn’t been informed in booking and i checked the menu on the website and it also doesn’t state on there that you need to pre book the christmas menu
The Swan At Ironbridge – TelfordGreat food, relaxed atmosphere and lovey staff. Very enjoyable evening Than you
The Butchers Kitchen – TelfordBooked a xmas meal for 12 people the meal was good some of the party had 2 course and the rest of us had 3 courses staff were friendly and very helpful.
The Malthouse – TelfordGood food. Why can't people who don't want to be sat with dogs have a defined area?. Don't spread dogs all around the restaurant. I love dogs, always had dogs, but I don't like eating with them.
The Swan At Ironbridge – TelfordStaff were extremely helpful, the meal was good. Toilets not very clean and not many Christmas decorations up.
The Malthouse – TelfordDisgusted to be asked to complete a review after last nights chaos. Booked a table for 3 on October 24th for evening of December 2nd. Booking fully confirmed by email shortly after. The fast forward to the evening and I left my office in Cannock to meet family for the meal. On walking in. The place was deserted apart from one person behind the bar and a table if 2 drinking. The staff member was surprised to see me and also challenged that I had a booking as the kitchen staff had walked out two weeks earlier and no food was being served. I did show him the email with confirmation of the booking, to be fair the chap did apologise, but didn’t stop my displeasure at not being contact after travelling 30 miles to get there. Just a sorry and goodbye, not even offered a drink. Was too busy rolling a cigarette to care.
The Tayleur Arms – TelfordExcellent 5/5
The Swan At Ironbridge – TelfordNot our best visit tbh. No fish, that was the reason my 9 year old wanted to go there for his birthday meal. Girl didn’t say until she came to us for the order, otherwise we’d have left. Overall, a bit of an expensive, average experience which isn’t ideal.
The Swan At Ironbridge – TelfordVisited the smokey cow for the first time yesterday. The place itself very lovely decor and environment. Lovely waitress replaced with a lovely guy to finish our service during our meal. Food was ace and thoroughly enjoyed by all. Will definitely be returning
The Smokey Cow – TelfordOrdered a Caesar salad and was missing the chicken and egg when it arrived. Chicken when it did come was just some chicken from the fridge section in super market warmed up in the microwave (was super dry). The egg was stone cold and still had shell on it.
The Smokey Cow – TelfordWe waited over an hour for 4 main courses. The pub wasn’t busy and the staff didn’t come to apologise to say sorry for the wait. Main courses were tasteless, pork belly crackling was burnt, the list goes on. The only good thing was the lady serving us, she was very attentive with drinks. Won’t be coming here again anytime soon unfortunately.
The Bull – ShrewsburyFood was lovely as always Really good portions , hot food and great service
The Malthouse – TelfordLovely starter, great feeling about the place however our mains weren’t great! No one checked on us and our burgers were really dry and a little burnt! They then added £10 tax or a tip on our bill without asking? Apart from these tiny issues, we had a great time, unsure if we would return?
The Swan At Ironbridge – TelfordGood service, great place for an early tea with the kids and good value for money.
The Swan At Ironbridge – TelfordFood - Great Service - Great Toilet - ABYSMAL Such a shame! We had our two-year-old with us and the men's toilet was disgusting (and my wife said the ladies wasn't much better). Toilet didn't flush so was full of paper and what's with the radiator vile stains all over it? It was a great experience up until that point, but for a place with such high standards in the main eating area that massively lets you down. Unfortunately had to take the little one to a different pub nearby to go to the toilet.
