Sunday lunch was absolutely delicious, the roast beef with Yorkshire pudding came with five different vegetables and roast potatoes (great value for money). Lovely location and welcoming.

Water Rat – IronbridgeThe food was excellent, not large portions for the price , although not piping hot . The venue was quite cold and sparse, no real atmosphere. Chairs were not very comfortable . Waitresses were not very attentive
The Swan At Ironbridge – TelfordIt’s really beautiful inside and out, but unfortunately that’s where it ends for us. The chef was a nice man from what we saw and heard, but didn’t get to try his food! We were seated and asked if we wanted a drink before we’d even sat down, which would normally not be an issue. But after getting us all drinks they decide to tell us what’s actually available! Loads have things had been sold out eg. No burgers, seabass, beef etc. Unfortunately that was the reason we’d came so decided just to have nachos and leave. There were 2 younger members of staff, and I found them both rude. One was listening to our conversation the whole time and actually decided to give us her input.. they were walking in and out the kitchen swearing at each other and everyone is the restaurant could here. It didn’t feel very professional of them to be walking around and moaning about other staff members whilst serving customers. There was also no music on, which is personal preference but it was quite awkwardly quiet and we could hear all the staff/chef conversations about previous jobs and personal chats. It also felt like the ladies were staring at us a lot, taking about wanting to close early. I understand the chef wanting to shut the kitchen, it would be quite embarrassing not being able to serve the meals you wanted to. So I have no issues with that, he sounded like a nice chap. I would like to visit again, as we’ve been told the food is amazing.. but hopefully we have a better evening.
The Smokey Cow – TelfordGreat Sunday roast, really enjoyed it. Good service and value.
Water Rat – IronbridgeWe (myself and partner) were running 15 minutes behind for Sunday lunch and so called ahead to inform. The voice on the end of the phone was short, abrupt and seemed totally uninterested. On arrival, we went to the bar area and met the young man behind the phone voice. We opted to sit outside as it was too overcrowded inside for our liking. "Good, that's better for us actually", he said. I came in to order food and asked if the large roast came with a Yorkshire pudding. "I don't know", he said. "Well perhaps you could find out for me if you don't mind?!", I said in reply. "I tell you what, I'll just add one on for you", he said before presenting the card machine to me having charged for the additional item. I was angered by his lack of common decency and subsequently changed the order however I was of the mind to tell him where to stick the reservation. He was totally unprofessional and in that particular front of house role, totally and utterly unemployable. The food was ok and the price reasonable. The service was beyond appalling. We do not intend to visit again and I shall be detering people from visiting in the future.
The Malthouse – TelfordLovely place for Sunday dinner ,great service highly recommend
The Malthouse – TelfordExcellent Sunday lunch- great food and service and a lovely atmosphere- added bonus it is fog friendly and Doha’s allowed in restaurant.
The Tilley Raven – ShrewsburyCan not knock the food, it was lovely, had a dirty bird burger and partner had henhouse dog, both with dirty fries. It came out quickly, and it was very filling. Compliments to the chef. But it was a Saturday evening in February and it was very cold inside, there is a log burner with plenty of logs next to it but it wasn't lit. People were eating still wearing their coats it was that cold. The seats are also very uncomfortable, they reminded me of old school canteen chairs.
The Swan At Ironbridge – TelfordCan't fault the place. Friendly staff, food is tasty and well priced. Visit regularly.
Water Rat – IronbridgeOur stay at The Swan amazing. Beautiful place, rustic interior, tasteful and cosy. Food destroyed us. Tasty, full of flavour, rich, huge portion. We had dirty burgers with dirty fries, it was delicious. Thank you The Swan!
The Swan At Ironbridge – TelfordWe had two lovely evening meals and two breakfasts amazing food highly recommend so cosy by the lovely fire .Staff were amazing will definitely be back one day.
Water Rat – IronbridgeWhen I booked our table I asked if the offer for 2 courses for £17. Would still be on and I was told Yes..... When we were seated at our table and given the menus, one being the Valentines menu we asked again about the offer to be told they weren't doing it tonight....... We made it known we were not happy about this and the staff member went and asked if the offer could be honoured, which it was. We were very disappointed that the menus offered were no where near as selective as what is advertised on the website. We were then also told that the steak was not included in the offer. Which left only the meat free choice, ham and eggs and one other choice. We were also told if we had steak we would have to pay for a starter. Also the offer didn't state that it was a starter and main only but that was what we were told when we were closing our food. I must say the staff were all very polite and nice, and the food was nice although a little over priced. This was a meal out with friends for my birthday and we were all left rather underwhelmed and disappointed Another couple who came in the restaurant who had booked a table in the upstairs dining area were told it was closed and had to sit elsewhere which they weren't happy about... Needless to say we asked for the surcharge to be removed off our bill.
The White Hart – IronbridgeHad a lovely Sunday lunch with the family, it was really good, plenty of meat, vegetables cooked perfectly and delicious gravy.Staff so friendly and helpful and great atmosphere, thanks to the chef and staff, look forward to coming again soon.
The Bull – ShrewsburyWell presented good value pub good food ,this is our local so we often eat drink and socialise here .staff are always professional and friendly , music nights and quiz nights help promote the pub and do what they can with the bare bones . A little attention to detail in the public areas would help with the general atmosphere I am aware that it's tough at the moment for hospitality been there my self but a few niceties would go a long way in a very barren but much loved local pub
The Tilley Raven – ShrewsburyFood was delicious as always. Service A ++++ My favourite place to eat in Ironbridge Definitely recommend
The Swan At Ironbridge – TelfordNice venue in quiet countryside, parking was easy although the disabled spaces are not marked very clearly with the symbols being very worn, also on a bit of an incline but nothing too major. We didn’t stay too long after finishing our meal, for me it was too noisy, and I don’t know why that was, there were other people in the restaurant but not overcrowded, the chairs not very comfortable and not much in the soft furnishings department but adequate. The food was good without being amazing, a little on the expensive side, but again not amazing so, would I go back, no but that’s because it was to noisy which does bother me. I’ve given each section a 3 from 5 rating, if I’d gone with a bigger crowd that might have changed the score, but not the place if you want a quite meal, nobody’s fault really. In the summer months an outside table might have been better for me. Mart
The Smokey Cow – TelfordExcellent service as ever, catered for allergies in the group really well, food fab as usual. Temperature of the room was very warm though, just a small thing
