The Smokey Cow – TelfordWe went for a meal on Sunday and we ordered a large coke and it had lipstick all over the glass we asked for it to be changed by a member of staff and they said give me a minute they walked past us 5-6 times and we had to ask another member of staff to change it. The food was t great the roast potatoes were cold as well as the vegetables and the chicken was very salty. We only just sat down and we was rushed to order our food by the manager which I thought was very rude
The Malthouse – TelfordWe have been to The Malthouse several times now and usually love the location, atmosphere and food. This time, however, I was disappointed. We ordered the Roast Dinner Pork Sandwich, which is usually accompanied by roast potatoes and pigs in blankets. My son decided to ask for a Yorkshire pudding instead of the pigs in blankets. The server seemed very new, and very unsure, which I have no problem with. Training is a factor in any job. However, even though we were very clear with our order, 2 full Roast Pork Dinners arrived. This was taken back with many apologies, and we waited for an amended meal. It arrived, and my sons order was without the Yorkshire pudding he asked for, the food was pretty lukewarm or cold in places (the roasties). I had to leave half of my sandwich. My son finished his, only because he was starving by then. We were charged full price, despite me mentioning the problems to the waiter...... And the original server looked really upset after the manager had told her off for her error...... All together, we felt pretty awkward and couldn't wait to leave. I'm sure this was a minor blip, and we will be back, it was just a shame, cos we were really looking forward to the meal after a long time being able to find time and money to book.
The Malthouse – TelfordBeautiful, well presented food, highly recommended. Only issue, if any, is the handdrier in the ladies toilet is very loud so occadionally you feel as if your eating at the airport! But the food and service easily makes up for it!
The Tilley Raven – ShrewsburyFantastic meal, excellent value for money. Faultless service. Will definitely be back very soon. *****
The Smokey Cow – TelfordFirst visit, despite having many friends recommend it over the years. Good food in pleasant surroundings. We will definitely visit again soon.
The Tilley Raven – ShrewsburyExcellent service all round! Booked a table for four plus one toddler. We were quickly greeted upon arrival and shown our table. Nicki had brought toys out to keep our son occupied (which it did!) and was very accommodating with our choices and needs. Food was fresh and excellent, prices fair and with a good selection of drinks. It's great to see a modern food establishment of such high standards in Broseley and we will be coming back!
The Butchers Kitchen – TelfordAbsolutely fantastic. Brilliant and extremely attentive staff, food was amazing, fairly priced and deserts were wonderful. Very impressed! Will be back, we only booked a table last minute on a Saturday eve and we didn’t regret it. Just seen some negative reviews below about Sundays, can’t review the Sunday lunch but main menu was spot on!
The Tayleur Arms – TelfordGood service Decent basic pub grub Surprised that there were no slices of lemon for my tonic water and no mustard for my gammon
The Malthouse – TelfordUsed to eat here quite a bit but I cannot understand how anyone would after the verified testimonies of those young girls that were groomed and brutalised by Ahmed , I cannot believe what has happened and I have been very depressed over this and I want everyone to please avoid this place as its the right thing to do. Im sorry if this has caused anyone distress I just feel that people should know, thanks for reading ,Lou
Ramna Balti House – ShrewsburyVisited Saturday night, welcomed in no problems.. unfortunately the girl who served us was less than enthusiastic from the get go ... Drinks were out prompt, but the steaks were over cooked! I wish we hadn't bothered with the Cocktails as they were not Cocktails!. What really upset us was the comment from the girl who was serving us all night, behind the bar right in front of our table to her colleagues.. "I just get paid and go home"... Overall not a great experience and a lesson or two in basic customer service would be a start .. Shame as we enjoy the entertainment most months at least once !
The Malthouse – TelfordOnce again fabulous Sunday lunch. Food great quality and so tasty. Never been disappointed with the food or service here.
The Malthouse – TelfordMy wife and I found this place on a recent trip to Ironbridge. We just had a drink there on the Saturday, but as the beer was excellent and reasonably priced and the live music was very good we decided to return for a meal the following night. Upon arrival we were told the card machine was broken so it was cash only. This wasn't a problem as we had enough cash with us, but were told the nearest cash point was just around the corner. The menu was more limited than usual due to a lack of burgers. In all honesty I would probably have had a burger if available but my wife and I both went for smothered hotdogs and they were excellent. My wife also had the Lotus biscuit sundae and that was very nice too. All the staff were great. Very attentive without being over-bearing. Will definitely return if we find ourselves in this part of the world again, and will hopefully get to try one of their burgers next time.
The Swan At Ironbridge – TelfordTotally appalled at the bad service we received,
The Malthouse – TelfordDisappointed is an understatement…… Ordered the 16hr smoked Texan Brisket with thick cut bloomer bread. The meal arrived with no thick cut bloomer bread when I asked the waitress she looked at me confused but did go back to the kitchen and ask, she returned with 2 slices of bread from a standard loaf. The meat was 3 slices of thick cut tough and chewy beef & definitely not slow cooked brisket, I couldn’t eat it & continued to only eat the fries. I advised the waitress who spoke to her manager & she offered a complimentary drink or desert to which I declined. When the bill arrived i was expected to pay for a meal that I didn’t eat & when I spoke to the manager she was less than apologetic but did remove the meal from the bill with some eye rolling! Such a shame that this dining experience didn’t live up to previous visits!!
The Swan At Ironbridge – TelfordWe were a table of 12 booked for bank holiday Sunday., new menu launch weekend. The food, service and atmosphere was absolutely amazing. Nothing was too much for the front of house staff and the food was just perfect. The new menu looks absolutely delicious and I can’t wait to try more. Definitely recommend and will definitely be returning again very soon! Thank you for such a lovely family afternoon.
The Bull – ShrewsburyCame for a lunchtime meal with friends. There was only one other table in at the same time. Certain items on menu were not available and when ordered I specified a dietary request and luckily I noticed before eating. Was a little disappointed as staff member didn't seem to interested when pointing it out
The Smokey Cow – TelfordI wouldn't return. I booked 2 months in advance for my partner's birthday. Food was average and the service wasn't great. I'd requested a birthday dessert which never came out so was a disappointment. The wine we ordered wasn't available either. Cash only which wasn't communicated until it was time to leave and pay at the bar. The music was good though.
