The Smokey Cow – TelfordWe visited here for a birthday family meal. All of us thoroughly enjoyed the food here and I must say the steak was cooked to perfection and was the best steak I have eaten to date anywhere! The atmosphere was brilliant and we all really enjoyed ourselves. We did visit on a Sunday and it did seem that they could have done with an extra member of staff however do not let this put you off, I merely mention it to make management aware. We had a brilliant time and would highly recommend The Swan. Thank you all for a fantastic evening.
The Swan At Ironbridge – TelfordWe all had a Lovely meal at the Smokey Cow ! Food was really nice and the staff were really friendly. The Smokey Cow Dog was amazing and i finished the lot. No fault and looking forward to returning again!
The Smokey Cow – TelfordAmbience and drinks 100% Food whilst served promptly and was well cooked lacked a true smokehouse flavour More like a sauce poured over Ok ish but wouldn’t rush back
The Swan At Ironbridge – TelfordWhat a fantastic find! We had a brilliant meal here as we passed through on Sunday. A very quaint country pub with both quantity and quality and very friendly staff.
The Tilley Raven – ShrewsburyBest sunday lunch ive had in a long time
The Tilley Raven – ShrewsburyBeautiful fresh food. Staff were amazing. We had a drink spill on our little boys food and the meal was replaced free of charge. Staff were a tentative to our needs but didn’t hover either. Lovely atmosphere. Would definitely recommend.
The Bull – ShrewsburyOur food was delicious and came quickly and was served really hot which makes a nice change from other restaurants. The staff were friendly and helpful.
The Malthouse – TelfordAll six of us had the sunday roast we all said it was one of the best. Would definitely go back for more.
The Swan At Ironbridge – TelfordHaving had a Craft & Jam voucher we decided to go to the Smokey Cow for Sunday lunch on 7th November. We were greeted by staff who were very pleasant and welcoming. The restuarant was very light with plenty of space between tables. For starters I had olives and hubby had brie wedges which were absolutely lovely. Mains were brisket of beef which melted in your mouth. Veges were cooked to perfection. We only had one dessert as I was full. I did have a spoonful to try and again it didn't disappoint. Compliments to the chef. Wines are a very reasonable price which was very pleasing. Thought the meal the waitresses were very attentive. Well done to you all and thank you for a lovely lunch. I certainly recommend you.
The Smokey Cow – TelfordIncredible Sunday lunch. Mum said it was the best one she’s ever had, that’s she’s not had to cook herself. Really impressed with their handling of my food intolerances too.
The Tilley Raven – ShrewsburyA very quiet night at the Tilley Raven but the food we ordered was really good and generous helpings, good quick attentive service also
The Tilley Raven – ShrewsburyLovely meal! Food was amazing and staff were really friendly and attentive! Couldn't fault and looking forward to returning!
The Smokey Cow – TelfordAwsome food !! Only fault I have is the fries are not very nice and the chunky chips are not that great either. Probably just my personal preference but I stand by it. Everything else was just out of this world !
The Smokey Cow – TelfordExcellent food and service as always. Very friendly staff. Loved being given the loyalty card. What a fab loyalty scheme it is.
Water Rat – IronbridgeWe went on a Wednesday lunchtime. Spacious and pleasant environment. Food was very good - very tasty and well presented; reasonable value. We both had pies . One of us had the fish pie which came with crispy onion mashed potato - great. However, this particular pie was also topped with mash which we didn't realise until served - so a bit too much mash! The other pie was lamb - expected chunks of lamb but was actually minced lamb - still v tasty though. Lovely roasted veg medley. Great selection of gravies. Service was good The atmosphere was lacking as we were the only ones there - maybe because not much passing footfall (??)
The Smokey Cow – TelfordHad such a lovely meal here the other night! The food was so good - the Smokey cow dog in particular was amazing, hot dog & Mac cheese, can’t think of a better combo!! This was the whole reason we booked a meal here in the first place and it didn’t disappoint! My partner had the tower of cow burger which he really enjoyed - the meat especially was full of flavour and the portions were massive! We both upgraded our fries to messy fries which was the best decision ever! When we come back, we’ll always upgrade our fries! I had the buffalo chicken fries which tasted so nice!! Something as simple as coleslaw on the plate tasted really lovely too! Love homemade coleslaw! The service was great, the lady made sure we were sorted for drinks and checked the food was all ok, really friendly. Overall, it was a really pleasant meal and so glad we picked here for my boyfriends birthday meal! Highly recommend and will be back soon! The only reason for the low rating on atmosphere was because it was quite quiet so don’t feel we can really comment on this but as it was a week night, we didn’t expect it to be busy in all fairness and it was still lovely to be able to choose where we sat and just have a good night the two of us. Thanks so much!
