Visited on Saturday lunchtime. Food was lovely as always. Service took a long time and tbh the thing that spoilt the visit was the fact it was freezing cold. It was a cold day anyway but there was no heating. I had to eat my meal with my coat on as did my son. We would’ve stayed longer but it was uncomfortably cold.

The Bull – ShrewsburyWe thoroughly enjoyed our meal at The Raven. The food was outstanding and very well priced. The pub itself is lovely, clean and spacious but sadly lacks atmosphere. It’s very brightly lit and a bit ‘cafe’ like. But having said this, I have returned and will return again.

It was more than an hour before our food arrived, the staff choosing to serve, before us, a group that arrived well after us. The staff did say sorry (and then had a moan about his working hours) but no complimentary coffee or reduction off the bill was offered by way of apology. The food was okay. Shame, as it's our local and would put more custom their way if the service was acceptable.
