Le Bistro Des Amis – SkiptonWe tend to eat here before concerts at Skipton Town Hall. Excellent food - and good-sized portions. Good service though when we go it isn't busy. Very welcome, and unusually for many modern restaurants it is actually possible to have a conversation. Background music is non-intrusive and the decor helps reduce ambient noise.

I came to enjoy food and conversation that I could hear, not someone else’s taste in bland muzak. Yorkshire puddings were treat.

The Maypole – SkiptonWe visited The Maypole for an evening meal while we were staying at Gallaber Park. It was great to see it open again as it was closed on our previous visits. The service was excellent and the meals were freshly made, very tasty and large portions. When we stay in the area again, we will not hesitate to book a meal at The Maypole!
