experience spoilt by yob like threatening behaviour - would avoid late at night
Black Horse Hotel – SkiptonThis place is awful. Do not go. Do not be fooled by its idyllic location. The restaurant is dirty and the food is really bad. Service is by spotty untrained staff and the toilets don't seem to ever get cleaned.
Anchor Inn Brewers Fayre, The – SkiptonI think the real critics need see this restaurant because Im sure they will think and know, Napier's is one of the best restaurant in Skipton!! They have a really good menu, they have a really nice staff!!!
Napiers – SkiptonTHE BEST RESTAURANT EVER!!! EXCELLENT FOOD !! MAGNIFIC STAFF!!
Napiers – SkiptonI found in Skipton the best restaurant in England. I was on holiday in UK with my girlfriend and we found this magnificent restaurant, with a excellent food, wine and staff. The staff was perfect, like i never seen in my life. I felt like i was dinner with my family and friends in Portugal! Its not the first time i come to UK in holidays, i come about twice per year. Before i went to napiers in North Yorkshire, i thought the english food have nothing special... but now im in love. And its not just me... i know a few people who loves dinner at Napier's restaurant aswell. This moment im in Portugal. I'll go back to UK next week in work to Leeds, and i really go to dinner to Napier's again... Im nobody for give or say reviews about food and restaurants, but about this restaurant i really need talk about! FOOD - ***** STAFF- *****
Napiers – SkiptonMy man took me to The Tempest Arms for Valentines. We stayed in a wonderful suite and enjoyed excellent food and lashings of wine and port. Walked it off the next day on a round trip walk from the pub. I would highly recommend this place for a getaway and top class rustic food!
The Tempest Arms – Skiptonpossibly the worst restaurant ive eaten in. very poor service, i think untrained child labour is the norm there. the worst food ive had and a lovely long wait for it too. seriously overpriced not advised
Napiers – SkiptonLovely pub in a superb location. We went for a Sunday lunch but along with everyone else we were kept waiting outside until 12 noon,(opening time) not a minute earlier in the cold (October weather). The front door was left open and we were seated directly in line of the draught. Our starters and main courses were excellent but although we asked for a dessert menu, it never came so we left. Staff not friendly but the food was memorable for the right reasons.
Angel at Hetton – SkiptonWe wanted a special meal to celebrate a birthday and that is exactly what we got at Le Caveau. The setting is very intimate, the service excellent and I wish we had a restaurant like this where we live. Absolutely fabulous!
Le Caveau – SkiptonThe pub at Starbottom is beautifully located, the menu good and the food well presented and delicious. However, our whole experience was ruined by disdain towards tourists, and un-spirited service that was grudgingly given, and in our case verged on rudeness. It is a real pity that this family run, cose y pub does not offer the warm welcome and cheerful service that could make it into a highlight.
Fox and Hounds – Skiptonthe best restaurant i have been to.
Bollywood Cottage – SkiptonHave eaten here several times the food is always freshly prepared. Standard pub menu, but try the good selection of specials for both non-vegetarians and vegetarians. I highly recommend The Masons Arms as we have never been disappointed by the food or the people, whether locals or visitors.
Masons Arms – SkiptonI've eaten here a few times but the one thing i always look forward to is the annual Seafood Festival - fantastic!!
Angel at Hetton – Skiptoni have eaten at the angel twice, both times the food was exceptional! the pub/restaurant is quite small so prebooking is really essentail however you can squeeze into the bar area for food of the same standard. wine and beer selection is excellent and the added advantage of rooms in the oub are recommended as it is off the beaten track. i heartly recommend beating the track to the door, enjoy and nip over the road to the wine shop before you leave.
Angel at Hetton – SkiptonAn excellent location, friendly staff and good food. An ideal location to watch countrylife and relax in the gardens on a warm sunny day. Perfect for tea and sandwiches, used by walkers and cyclists. Parking available for the less energetic.
Abbots Harbour – SkiptonExcellent food and service. Cosy pub that welcomes walkers and dogs. They even have dog biscuits free for dogs! Guinea pig night highly recommended one Monday each month.
The Bull – SkiptonAfter four visits to this establishment I feel qualified to comment on the food, staff and service. All are very good an It has become one of our favourite places.
