Fantastic food and service. We were there for a night without our teenage kids without any prior knowledge - truly excelled. Staff were attentive but also gave space. Food was high quality but also good quantities Not cheap but not expensive. We had pre booked and would recommend doing so to avoid disappointment

We brought my father in law for a meal here and he was so impressed. He thoroughly enjoyed his meal - the crackling on the pork a highlight. Our boys had the steak frites which were cooked to perfection and a very generous portion. We also received excellent service from all the staff. We have been here many times as a family and always enjoy it. Hope to be back soon!

Wonderful food and fabulous, attentive service. Highly recommend the seafood moneybag. In all, a great experience and we will definitely be visiting again soon.

We were Caravanning nearby and decided to book a table online for our last weekend treat. The pub wasn't too busy on Saturday afternoon. I had the lambs liver and onions with mash, and it came with a side dish of veg and mashed swede. It was delicious and was a very generous portion as well. The wife had gamon egg and chips, ( though the menu said ham? ) Again it was lovely and tasty, double egg plentiful gamon and great tasting chips we both agreed, I 'borrowed ' some. Service was good, though it wasn't busy. A nice atmosphere in there and tidy surroundings. I wasn't aware if there was a disabled toilet, though, as people often ask.

Really enjoyed the atmosphere. Food was very good. We had the fish pie in a parcel. Service was excellent. They remembered our party had a couple of food intolerances. Drinks reasonably priced. Good table upstairs in a corner. Good VFM for the quality

We travel from ilkley especially to eat here on numerous occasions, and we have never ever once had a bad meal, I am a big fillet steak fan and I can honestly say the cut,, flavour ,and perfectly cooked nature make this one of the premium fillet steaks, I have had anywhere , The staff are always very young, but that is no detriment to the level of attentiveness and service, All in all I believe this is the best restaurant in Skipton and one of the best in the area

Absolutely fabulous local pub/restaurant serving really good food. Steaks are superb and the steak and ale pie is to die for! We stayed earlier in the year for my wife’s 80th and the rooms are brilliant and quirky. We will return!

There were 9 of us and from making the booking to the evening itself we were looked after well. Generally in big parties you need to pre-order but that wasn't necessary and we were not kept waiting on the night. Food and service were really good. There were a few menu items that were unavailable and the wine choice was limited but all in all we had a great night.
