Excellent food, a chicken Vindaloo to die for superb. Tables down the sides are separated for your privacy, although the waiters keep looking to see if you are finished which is a bit of a pain. All in all a very good meal for peanuts really.

Absolutely love this place!! Top food, great service and a gentle warm feeling to the place whether dining in the very attractive restaurant or having a drink at the bar. Everything about the place is great and a nice homely feel to it. Certainly one of my top favourite places to dine in the North East without a doubt!!

What a night out for £5.85! This even includes a drink! Not only that, an extra free course on Thursdays! You can't get a take away for this, and there is no washing-up! The staff are very friendly and always welcoming. Lucky I spotted their advert in the Sunderland echo, it's well worth the journey, I have travelled time and time again taking various friends and family, they too are amazed! (1/10/2006)

A very cosy and humble pub set in picturesque countryside. With both great food great ale and fantastic service this pub is a great day out

this is a very high standard of both food and service although it is a carvery. it serves a wide range of meats and vegetarian dishes with vegetables cooked to perfection and my mate informs me that the mince and dumplings are the best he has tasted. you can eat two meals for £7.50 all day through the week and Saturday until 7 and 4pm Sunday. Special requirements can be arranged on request meals. This is also excellent for pensioners as they get their food even cheaper!!!! and service with a smile and humour from the chef of many years. excellent.
