Harbour Lights – South ShieldsGood service and Good meal.
Harbour Lights – South ShieldsFirst time sitting in for Sunday lunch. The service and food was outstanding, we all thoroughly enjoyed it and will definately be back. The staff are really friendly and professional and even though they were all so busy, they were always happy to help.
Harbour Lights – South ShieldsMince and Dumplings with Chips and Mushy Peas were very nice. However, the dumpling could do with more Leek mixed in with it or even some onion and herbs to be able to enhance its flavour, they were also a bit stodgy and not light and fluffy as my Nanna used to make. Good value for money as plenty on the plate to fill you up. Fish and Chips available as a small portion was lovely, good batter and lovely chips. Looking at the great comments for the Sunday Lunches I must come in and try them sometime.
Harbour Lights – South ShieldsFood was excellent and service was very good and definitely value for money first time been there definitely going back and atmosphere was relaxing

Harbour Lights – South ShieldsLovely food, plenty choices, very good value for money . We will be back.
Harbour Lights – South ShieldsHad an exceptionally delicious Sunday dinner. Starters were super tasty and served promptly by our waitress who was lovely. Mains were gorgeous. We had belly pork, beef and mince and dumplings. There was a good variety of veggies and came with mash, roasties and a Yorkshire pudding plus extra gravy. Desserts were delightful and we were ready to pop! Loved the fact this venue has a wide range of non alcoholic drinks. 10/10 we’ve already re booked and would certainly recommend to friends and family.
Harbour Lights – South ShieldsSunday dinner was absolutely delicious! I had the belly pork which was cooked perfectly. The childrens mince and dumplings were so tasty and portion was huge! Others in the party got the beef and they said it was amazing. The dinners came with colliflower cheese too as a side at no extra cost which was fantastic. Service was brilliant and the price was really reasonable. Only thing would be I’d love it if they done lamb but that’s purely personal preference
Harbour Lights – South ShieldsYet again a superb meal, tasty, well presented. Atmosphere is so relaxing which adds to a great experience. Friendly, welcoming staff, a great evening, thank you
Harbour Lights – South ShieldsAbsolutely fabulous Valentine's meal at harbour lights. We loved the creative menu choices. The scallop starter, beef wellington and panna cotta were all perfectly executed by their talented chef. The owner ‘matradee’ captained a well run ship which provided great service. Staff were both friendly and efficient. All of this was so good, and at such a great price, that we rebooked for the following evening to sample the chateaubriand - which proved to be equally as good. We will be back again very soon.
Harbour Lights – South ShieldsAmazing food. The Sunday dinner 1, 2 or 3 course is such good value. I had the belly pork with crackling and my boyfriend had the beef. Both cooked to perfection served with separate veg and Yorke pudding, mash and roast potatoes on place. Booked for 1.30 with my two dogs, had a lovely people watching table. Would definately advise booking for Sunday dinner, busy when I arrived and upon leaving. Sure some people got turned away as they didn't have a booked. I went for a dessert also, biscoff cheesecake with pouring cream which was tremendous, fab value at £12.95 for 2 courses. We ordered a Sunday dinner each, one dessert, 1 amstel pint and 1 non alcoholic Heineken pint, £32 for the bill which for portions and taste I think was fab. Will definately be back. Only small thing was it seemed to take a while after drinks order for food order to be taken, but it was quite busy.
Harbour Lights – South ShieldsIt was an absolute delight to eat out at the Harbour Lights for Sunday lunch. The building was packed, the atmosphere welcoming, lovely and warm from the natural flame fire. The three of us opted for the bellypork which was cooked to perfection, a lovely snap of the crackerling served over creamy mash and roast potatoes. Veg and gravy came separate. All hot and not cooked to within a inch of its life. We will definitely be back not just for the Sunday roast but the weekly meals and steak night on Fridays. Glad to see the old building get turned around. Thank you.
Harbour Lights – South ShieldsWe tried here for the first time under the new owners for Sunday lunch, the food was amazing and the best Sunday lunch we've had in a long time! We'll definitely be back and booked again for next week before we left. Looking forward to trying the steak night too.
