It’s a shame nice setting but the food is very expensive for what it is
The Kitchen – SpaldingOur party of 6 had a selection of starters, mains and desserts with drinks - both alcoholic and non. Our orders came out in good time, despite the restaurant being busy during Sunday lunch. We made the right decision of booking a table! Our servers were polite and on hand if anything was required. Our food was tasty, portions were generous and the food was hot. We would certainly go again. Thank you to the serving staff.
The Kitchen – SpaldingLovely Sunday lunch except that the roast potatoes on my vegan Sunday lunch were hard. My husband's potatoes on his pork lunch were nicely done.
The Kitchen – SpaldingWe usually eat at The Kitchen when staying at the adjacent hotel. We did so again yesterday for lunch. The Kitchen is a spacious restaurant with a varied menu consisting of favourites such as fish and chips, lasagne, burgers, salads, sandwiches etc. All the portions are generous and cooked well. My haddock and chips yesterday was excellent. We can't fault the food and the staff are friendly. The only feedback we would give is the staff don't mention the specials. Although these are written on a blackboard, this isn't visible to all tables. I only saw the specials board when I visited the toilets at the end of the meal. The specials on offer were significantly different from the menu and provided slightly more unusual choices. I would suggest either several special boards around the large restaurant or for staff to highlight the specials of the day when greeting customers. Overall though, a pleasant, clean, spacious venue with good, honest 'pub grub'.
The Kitchen – SpaldingService was fantastic Food was excellent Staff were attentive Was the perfect night for a trip out as large group for the first time since the pandemic Defiantly will be returning in the future
The Kitchen – SpaldingGood food, pleasant staff. Music to loud but on asking to turn down they duly did... would recommend
The Kitchen – SpaldingBooked a meal for 6 on 22/12 at 6pm the whole room was quite cold there was a limited amount of staff to take our order. The staff were not very customer focused, the food was quite average not very good value for money, also as it was near to Xmas the atmosphere was a little lacking not a good experience. I don't think I'll be going back there anytime soon
The Kitchen – SpaldingExcellent food and service Sunday 4pm 19dec thanks guys
The Kitchen – SpaldingWe had a warm welcome and good value for money meal. There was eight of us dinning and no one had any complaints about either the meal or service. The serving staff at the Kitchen are also one of there biggest access. So a big thank you to the staff.
The Kitchen – SpaldingFood was lovely. Very tasty and reasonably price. Very family friendly. The staff were very helpful and polite. We will definitely be back
The Kitchen – SpaldingMy wife and I visit The Kitchen on a regular basis. The quality and quantity of the food is always good and I believe it is very reasonable in terms of value for money. The service really does depend on how busy they are at the time. Normally it is good but when it is busy, it is very easy to get overlooked as the powers of observation by some of the younger staff leaves a lot to be desired! The majority of the staff are extremely pleasant and polite with only one exception! They try very hard in terms of atmosphere and brightening up the place, but as someone else stated, it can by quite cold at times, especially when seated near a window. Apart from that, I would still recommend The Kitchen as a decent place to eat with mostly pleasant staff and good quality food available and we will be back again very soon.
The Kitchen – SpaldingIT WAS A COLD DAY AND WE ARRIVED AT 6PM FOR OUR MEAL. AFTER 30 MINS WE REALISED WE WERE GETTING COLDER AND THAT PRESUMABLY THERE WAS LITTLE OR NO HEATING IN THE BUILDING. IT DIDN'T HELP THAT WE WERE GIVEN A SEAT BY A COLD WINDOW.
The Kitchen – SpaldingThe food and staff are lovely. We can always get a table there. The food is very reasonably priced.
The Kitchen – SpaldingExcellent food and gluten free options available
The Kitchen – SpaldingFood was lovely. Only one complaint the starter came out with the main meal, so garlic bread with pie and chips was novel.
The Kitchen – SpaldingI booked a table for 6.30pm on the 2nd Nov, I received a call on the day at around 4pm by a member of staff of The Kitchen. I was asked whether I could come earlier as they wanted to close the Restaurant as it was quiet. The website states the pub/restaurant is open until 11pm?!? I advised the person on the phone that I can only come in at 6.30pm. We arrived at 6.30pm and was shown to our table. However, we were made to feel quite uncomfortable as it was clear the staff wanted to close the Restaurant and go home. We left at around 7.30pm and found another pub nearby that was open until 11pm!
The Kitchen – SpaldingBooked a table for 6.30pm Tuesday 2.11.21 got a call and voicemail at 4pm asking if we could go earlier as it was quiet and they wanted to shut early !! Why take a late booking in fact why take bookings after lunchtime if it’s a regular occurrence cancelled the table and found an alternative venue. It’s fair to say I will avoid this place in future poor way to run a business
The Kitchen – SpaldingI booked a table at the last minute for my husband’s birthday. I went with my husband, son and 3 granddaughters. The service was excellent, the food was lovely and plenty of it and they catered for my 3 grandchildren and made us all feel welcomed. Nothing was too much. I cannot praise the staff enough. Thank you for a lovely evening.
