Water’s Edge Cafe – St. Annes-On-SeaCan't stand cafes and restaurants that get used as places for people that want to make a quick quid, selling stuff, don't go there. It's a nuisance being there while people flog cosmetics.
Water’s Edge Cafe – St. Annes-On-SeaI've been eager to try Anatolia for some time and the perfect excuse came up. We had family over from the USA who were vegetarian and we needed somewhere that took vegetarian food seriously but catered for the meat eaters too! Heaven! We were warmly greeted on arrival, the owner was obviously no beginner in making people feel relaxed and at ease. He was a funny guy too! We were served drinks early on and the menu's well explained. He was thorough with taking the order and checked everything carefully as we were a large party and he wanted everything just right. And it was. Everything that came out, vegetarian, fish, meat, casserole, pizzas was all amazing, tasty, well cooked and everyone was happy. A nice touch was the owner directed all the dishes to the right people, his attention to detail was superb. The wine was great too, and reasonable. Basically, Anatolia's deserves to be ranked as highly as it is. It's absolutely deserved. Delicious tasty flavourful food. Great experience and service. Great value. We fed and watered 11 people with at least 2 courses each and drinks (including a few bottles of wine and everyone on soft drinks had at least two) for just a sniff over £200.
Anatolia – St. Annes-On-SeaCan't beat it for quality, value, and consistency. We have been regular diners here for many years and can compare this with any Indian restaurant on the Fylde, we have tried all of them. There is a Sunday banquet that gives you a choice of starter, any main with choice of rice and finish with either coffee or kufti (ice cream) all for £9.95, how can you beat that?
Moghul Tandoori Restaurant – St. Annes-On-SeaLovely place and outside seating. The staff were very efficient on our visit. Carvery was great value at around £7.50. Would return.
The Waters Edge Pub and Restaurant – St. Annes-On-SeaWe have just been for lunch (Five adults and three children). The food was very nice but it took far too long especially between the starter and the main course. We had to remind them we were still waiting - couldn't understand as it was not full. We found the prices quite expensive for an "up market cafe" Don't think we will be returning.
The Waters Edge Pub and Restaurant – St. Annes-On-SeaAn excellent take you back venue. A bit of old England. Excellent spot with a vast selection of in the main home made food. Excellent.
Cafe On The Pier – St. Annes-On-SeaReally gorgeous food, polite staff and also really nice looking puddings.
The Waters Edge Pub and Restaurant – St. Annes-On-SeaVisited Imli at the weekend for my partners birthday, when I phoned to book they asked if it was for a special occasion. We arrived to find a birthday balloon at the table and after the meal they brought a cake out with a sparkler, very nice touch. The food was beautiful and all 6 of the party thoroughly enjoyed their meals and the waiters were lovely. Would definitely go again.
Imli – St. Annes-On-SeaAn upmarket cafe that sells alcohol. Fresh? - most of the menu arrives in a freezer lorry, including the veg from a few reports that I have heard. Staff obviously trained in the art of laser-beam carving to ensure the company gratifies its shareholders. Unimpressed, though the cask beer was reasonably priced and delicious! Though a definite improvement on the site canteen from when I was a civil servant there!)
The Waters Edge Pub and Restaurant – St. Annes-On-SeaI have eaten here twice, the food is delicious. Both my husband and I were very impressed. The cakes and ice creams are to die for. The service was also great. We visited on the opening day at teatime and were seated straight away. Staff were professional, friendly and welcoming. Our food arrived quickly and was perfectly cooked.
The Waters Edge Pub and Restaurant – St. Annes-On-SeaDon't mix this great cafe on the promenade that is actually at the Waters Edge with great views across the sea that serves delicious homemade scones, burgers, lasagne etc with the pub of the same name where you have to wait about an hour for food!!! And is no where near the sea.
Water’s Edge Cafe – St. Annes-On-SeaWe have just been to this establishment and will not be returning. We ordered our food at 5.40pm and at 7pm we still had not received our mains. We had very poor service from a rude waiter who quite clearly was not happy in his position. When we asked for our money back as we were leaving with our two young grand daughters who were ready for bed after the long wait, we received the wrong amount back and had to ask again for them to rectify their mistake. Very bad experience all round!!!!
The Waters Edge Pub and Restaurant – St. Annes-On-SeaMy husband and myself have just been to Waters Edge Pub for first time. Have read some bad reviews but can honestly say what we had was very nice. The staff were very nice and helpful .
The Waters Edge Pub and Restaurant – St. Annes-On-SeaJust been for first time today, not impressed at all! Food was served cold, staff were rude and constantly interrupted conversations, we had only had our meals for 5 mins when a staff member came to our table and said "have you finished"? Not what I expected at all!
The Waters Edge Pub and Restaurant – St. Annes-On-SeaHi I have recently tried The Water's Edge for the second time since your opening and I need to pass comment on various aspects. The plates at the carver are cold and so by the time that you get to the end of the carvery and back to your table the whole meal is cold. The chips may be freshly made but they are then put through a chipping machine so that there are a lot of 'bits' such as you would find in a bag of cheap frozen chips. Also, why are wheelchair users sated at tables where they have to be lifted up a step when there is plenty of 'level' floor area available?I appreciate that this is early days but would welcome your comments before we pay another visit.
The Waters Edge Pub and Restaurant – St. Annes-On-SeaAre the carvers in training to be skin graft surgeons. Meat was served so thinly. Think this will be a big put off.
The Waters Edge Pub and Restaurant – St. Annes-On-SeaWent for second time to test the same dish for consistency. Had braised steak/onions first time sauce good. Second time meat cold said would do fresh one but piece of meat that had been cut arrived back sauce not the same and it arrived with mushrooms which I don't like and had not been there first time. Chips were hard and query home ones.!!! If standards can't be kept they will soon lose business
