Colours Restaurant – St.Helensthe service was excellent. food superb. very clean will be highly recommending to friends and family. we have booked again for an important function my mothers 90th birthday. was recommended to us by friends am i grateful.
Mr Chans – St.HelensFirst class food at exceptional prices we held my parents golden wedding here and everyone remarked on the quality of the food and the friendly atmosphere. Yes perhaps the decor is a bit dated but the menu is extensive and well prepared and cooked to order and at the prices they charge it is amazing they make any profit!!!
The Charcoal Grill – St.Helenshi just to let you know, had a wonderful meal in the palace restaurant great great food.
Palace Balti Tandoori – St.HelensWe adore hong sing, great chinese food, reasonably priced, great atmosphere and very friendly staff. We go often with our daughter who's first visit was at 3 weeks old and the staff are fantastic with her. Great for a family meal, catch up with friends and even a great place to celebrate special occasions. Our favourite chinese!!
Hong Sing – St.Helensi wouldnt recommend this restaurant to my worst enemy one word describes it DISGUSTING !!!!!!five of us went to eat there tonight Thursday 16th please dont waste your money .we were over charged at first by ten pounds ,then when i platter started the food looked like it had ben cremated.the chicken legs and wings were all a dark shade of burnt and were all stuck together.as for the main meal of scampi it was burnt.sorry but this restaurant is the pits.,and stupidly enough this is the second time we have ate there omg the food and service is badddddd.
The Game Bird – St.Helensclosed for the summer, after another year of consistently good value food, September can't come quick enough. Well done to all the staff for a very good job.
Colours Restaurant – St.HelensI can honestly say without a shadow of a doubt that Mr Chan's is by far the best Chinese restaurant I have ever been to - Charlie is absolutely lovely and is a terrific host and ,makes you feel very very welcome!! Great night out in a superb atmosphere. No hesitation in recommending it to anyone!!
Mr Chans – St.HelensWe booked a table for 4 for the 29th March 09. When we arrived we were taken to our table. Our order was taken and our starters arrived quite quickly. We were given plenty of time to finish them with enough time before our main meal (very civilised). And then on to our desserts. All the food was excellent and the service superb and at a very reasonable price. All in all a nice relaxing afternoon. We will be returning soon.
Bottle And Glass – St.HelensMy wife ,son and I dined at the Palace Balti on Saturday 21st .We live in Reading in Berkshire and we impressed by the reasonable prices of the food ,the quality and size of portions. The choice of food was good. Plus I thought the drinks prices were very fair.
Palace Balti Tandoori – St.HelensI love the bottle and glass, it is my favourite pub in our area. Go there regularly and while it is busy at times we always have a really good meal. Atmosphere is lovely and staff are friendly ad helpful. Am going twice this week, one for lunch and for a family meal for my boyfriends birthday at the weekend and looking forward to it!
Bottle And Glass – St.HelensCheap, totally tasteless, and disgusting!
Chipmunks – St.HelensWithout doubt the finest Chinese restaurant in the north of England. Having worked in Manchester for the past five years I've certainly been able to sample quite a lot of different restaurants in China town. I can honestly say that Mr Chans in St. Helens is better than any of them. The food is simply fantastic and Charlie is a great host. I recommend the aromatic crispy lamb with fresh ginger or the duck in Cantonese sauce.
Mr Chans – St.HelensFriendly staff, great food, what more can I say? Finding a Chinese restaurant where the price is reasonable without compromising on quality is difficult but this is place! Highly recommended.
Hong Sing – St.HelensThis is one of our favourite eating places, the staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The food is amazing and is reasonably priced, great for couples or for groups. Guaranteed to have a great night.
La Casa Vieja – St.HelensThis is one of our favourite eating places, the staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The food is amazing and is reasonable priced, great for couples or for groups. Guaranteed to have a great night.
La Casa Vieja – St.HelensIf you don't mind 70's decor but love good, wholesome food then this is the place to go in St Helens. I have visited this place ever since I was a child and recently had a family get together there for lunch. I recommended this place to a couple of friends who now frequent the place every weekend. There is not a bad word to be said about the food here and the "early bird" menu is the best value for money you will ever find.
The Charcoal Grill – St.HelensI have been to this restaurant on a number of occasions and never been disappointed. The care and detail taken by the staff is exceptional, only negative is the food arrives very quickly, you have only just finished your starter and your main course is there! Otherwise faultless
