Fancy trying a new restaurant in St Helens ?For somewhere different we tried the Sheesh on Saturday 10th March 2012, for Ryan's birthday.Eddie and his team gave us a warm welcome , great service, and above all the most fantastic freshly prepared food....great value too.Loved the open kitchen !We will certainly be going back.

I have been there with my wife, we had wonderful food with efes. Everything was perfect and very very cheap. I recommend to try it.

Visited with friends on Saturday evening, 11 February. Good reviews, an inviting website and an extensive menu led us to book here for the first time. First impressions were very good, the welcome, the inviting reception area, the atmosphere. We ordered a banquet for four and service was friendly and efficient to start with. Things started very well with the appetisers, which were delicious, but gradually went downhill with a very long wait between courses when it seemed we had been forgotten for about 25 minutes. Following a reminder, the food finally arrived but was cold and unappetising; the main courses that followed were distinctly below average and again on the cold side and were mainly left uneaten. Add to this a mistake with the drinks order, the poor quality of the food, the restaurant was cold and draughty and the staff seemed to be rushed off their feet. To summarise, a very expensive mistake that we will not be repeating in the future.

We have been going to the Palace for over ten years and have had wonderful food every time. The staff are wonderful, not too attentive and always make a fuss of our son.

Been to Cafe Roma on numerous occasions and cannot fault the food in any way! Everything is home made and very tasty!Would recommend Cafe Roma to anyone.Great prices also! The new tapas menu is also great. Brill value for money.

This is second time we have had an evening meal here and it was brilliant! I would have to give it ten out of ten! This is now our favorite restaurant ! I cannot recommend it highly enough!

Have used the Caffe Roma a number of times, have been pleasantly surprised with the quality dishes,the service is very good,No reservation's in recommending this

19-11-2011Just had a great brekkie in Caffe Roma, inexpensive and tasty, quality food and the mushrooms were the best.

Sorry but visited Hong Sing for the Early Bird Buffet and was extremely disappointed no atmosphere warning signs on the walls and poor quality food sadly I would not recommend this restaurant it felt like school dinners.

I am a regular customer of Hong Sing and I found out that they have changed some of the main courses and starters! It was a real improvement and it was really delicious! While I was having my meal we saw a wedding party in the function room where there were beautiful decorations put up. The atmosphere is great and I would definitely prefer Hong Sing rather than the other Chinese restaurants in St. Helens.

Great little italian cafe the food is out of this world. I had a lovely carbonara prepared by the good looking dark haired chef a must try

We booked a table for 9.15 Saturday night after reading rave reviews, what a disappointment, firstly it was like walking into a creche kids running around everywhere prams etc(plus screaming)....... handed a menu asked what drinks we would like, then when taking our order asked if we had booked a table, we sat down had our starter and main and my partner just put his knife and fork down and his plate was pulled away, food mediocre at best seemed more like a jar of sauce had been put on my chicken, so in at 9.15 out by 9.50 a world record, oh yes and the kids were still running around when we left........

extremely good food and prices all freshly prepared on the premises staff are very nice and tend to you every need don't know his name but the dark haired Italian treats all the customers like royalty to sum up food is excellent and i highly recommend everyone to try this cafe highly recommended

not good at all, staff unpleasant, very slow and wait for ages to be served! would not recommend.
