Excellent Self Service buffet at a very cheap price. I've been to other Chinese Buffets before and not been impressed but the Hong Sing is very good. The food is very good and there is plenty of choice.

The Charcoal Grill – St.HelensTop notch Chinese food in St Helens still going strong. what i would call a 'safe bet' restaurant that i would not hesitate to recommend
Mr Chans – St.HelensUsed to visit this restaurant regular when my mum and dad were alive. Haven't been in years but was not disappointed on my recent visit. We wanted to eat before going to a show, luckily I booked as the place was really busy at 6.00 p.m. As a previous review stated, the menu has never changed. The meals where still of a very high standard, generous portions and cooked to perfection (anybody going...please try the duck for your main course...it melts in your mouth). Really good service and not at all expensive, with lots of nice extra touches, nibbles in the bar area, nice lighting and soft music. I'll definitely be going back.
The Charcoal Grill – St.HelensWe went to The Royal Oak for Christmas Dinner and it was fantastic, so we decided to go back for valentines day. The offer was fantastic £39.95 for 4 courses included in there '241' offer. They had a good entertainer and candles on every table which really set the mood. would recommend to anyone!
The Game Bird – St.HelensLove this restaurant, the menu hasn? changed for the 25 years ive been going!!! Good basic well cooked food.
The Charcoal Grill – St.HelensI am a regular at the Palace and have always found the food to be second to non. The service is friendly and the Staff always make you feel extremely welcome. The menu is extensive and modestly priced and, in my opinion, delivers the best Indian food for miles around. Well done to Steve and the Team for a job CONTINUALLY well done!
Palace Balti Tandoori – St.HelensI have been a regular at Mr. Chans for the last 16 or 17 years, and can say it just gets better and better every time we visit. Charlie and Loi run the restaurant with a warm and friendly attitude, but being very professional too. We love his sea bass done with ginger and spring onion, and a bottle of N.Z. sauvignon blanc, just heaven. bon appetite!
Mr Chans – St.HelensIf you want an ambiance second to none, great service and delicious food then I would recommend that you pay a visit to this place, I have visited this place many times and the staff have always been polite, welcoming and very helpful.

Tandoori Ghar – St.HelensI have been there it was very nice the food was very well made and tasted great. It was a nice experience.
Tandoori Ghar – St.HelensThis Pub was really impressive, the food was really nice for the value, 2 meals for the price on 1, all day everyday.I would recommend if you were going you should sit upstairs because the views are outstanding . My child also loved the wacky warehouse play area.
The Game Bird – St.HelensGreat food, top service in comfortable surroundings. Less hurried feeling than other restaurants around. Well done!!!
Cathay Dynasty – St.HelensWow what a restaurant! Ive been to a few and the service was explicit, not to mention the food. and i recommend this restaurant to any one!
Colours Restaurant – St.Helenswhole family love it, staff are great, food is lovely. we always go for birthdays, they play a "happy birthday" tape & bring you a free cake with candles all lit, kids love it.
Hong Sing – St.HelensI am a regular visitor to the Hong Sing and only weigh 22 and a half stone...IT'S THAT NICE !!!! Seriously though, foods decent and it's cheap as chips.. Get in there. Only hour and a half sitting time on the buffet though, I'm still on me ribs..
Hong Sing – St.HelensWe have been going to La Casa Vieja for many years now and always found the food to be consistently good. Our last visit was no exception. It's not really tapas, as the portions are large and cost as much as a full restaurant dish. This doesn't really matter, especially if there is a crowd of you and you can order lots of dishes. The specials board is always full of lovely fresh fish dishes. I had the scallops which were fab. The staff are always very welcoming too.
La Casa Vieja – St.HelensI went on Saturday evening and had a delicious selection of tapas. The staff were extremely quick to take my order but I didn't feel rushed and simply asked for more time. The food was excellent and the service was great. Seeing the owner gave the whole feel a more loving approach. There are too few restaurants like this in St Helens and I'm glad we finally have a few more choices than fish and chips.
