Called for Lunch (on spec).Soup-Lovely. Salmon in Sauce- (To Die For). Very satisfied.
Waggon and Horses – StalybridgeTerrible atmosphere. This pub will never have a consistent clientele if the older chap (landlord) is leering over the young girls. It's extremely off putting to others when a mid 50s man is dribbling over an 18 year old girl. Very clicky pub with very little to offer whilst under this management June 2013
Q Inn – StalybridgeGreat friendly pub. Good food and great atmosphere.
Waggon and Horses – StalybridgeWe found this restaurant to be welcoming and conveniently situated just off the center of Stalybridge. It has a warm and intimate quality to it and the food is delicious and very well priced. After eating here a week ago we were left with a desire to eat the food again and I think we might need to now buy shares in the business as we think it may well become one of our favorites haunts. You will not be disappointed and I wish we could have found it sooner.
La Lupa – StalybridgeBeen to Renato's & Jiuseppe's restaurant for over three years now quite a few times per week. Food & drink is mint, we've tried all the so called Italian restaurants & they don't match them. We recommend them to everybody because we know people won't be disappointed.
La Lupa – StalybridgeMyself and my husband and two friends visited on Saturday 07/07/2012. What can I say we had an excellent evening. The food was very very good, tasty and enjoyable at the same time. We would not hisitate in visiting again in the near future. My compliments to the chef and also to the waiter and waitress for their helpfulness.
La Lupa – StalybridgeWas taken to La Lupa last night . What a find! We asked for mussels to start (which weren't on the menu but my friend had eaten them previously). They were made especially for us and were DELICIOUS! And we both had pasta (mine 'Pasta al salmone') with garlic bread to follow. The food was fresh, hot when it arrived and full of flavour. The portion size just right. The staff were efficient and friendly and the atmosphere busy but not frantic! A very enjoyable eating experience - I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
La Lupa – StalybridgeHaving dined here on the evening of 15th April, I would like to express my sheer disappointment with the entire experience. From the moment we set foot in the door, it was clear that organisation and level-headedness had descended into chaos and the inability to cope under pressure. We were informed that they were to be catering for a party of 17 people a short while after we were due to be seated. However, there were long delays in seating not only our party of 5, but also a further two families who arrived about the same time as us. The manager explained to us that the reason for this delay was due to the people already seated, who'd been there longer than the usual allotted 2.5 hours. I would like to add here that he apologised for our delay - something that, whilst redeemed him a little, proved to be pointless as he appeared to make no effort to hurry those people along. Finally, having taken our seats, he told us that he'd come for our order before he took that of the larger party. This meant we had to rush to choose something, only to wait almost an hour for it to arrive. By this time we were all extremely hungry. The food however, was lacking in taste, seeming quite bland; the yorkshire pudding - mainly the reason I chose the Sunday Lunch, looked burnt and was totally soggy from having sat in the lake of gravy on the plate; the vegetables also were very under seasoned. Altogether an unpleasant, distinctly average meal. To top this off, the entire restaurant was stifling - would it have harmed the staff to open some windows?? Having paid the bill, we did not even receive so much as a 'goodbye' as we walked out. Not somewhere I will be visiting again.
Waggon and Horses – StalybridgeAt there for the 1st time last night. Have got to say it was one of the best meals I have had in a long time. Atmosphere was great and service excellent. Will definitely return.
La Lupa – StalybridgeWent to la lupa 10 3 2012, it was recommended to us. On first sight it looked good but was disappointed once inside. It just looked like a glorified cafe, the staff i thought were miserable and it was expensive, otherwise the food was gorgeous, garlic mushrooms best i've ever had.
La Lupa – StalybridgeVisited La Lupa for first time in June 2011 really enjoyed ourselves, the food was great as was the atmosphere The Bruschetta was especially good as were the meat balls, and the service excellent. Revisited on the 26/02/12 with my partner and daughter, again lovely atmosphere had bruschetta again and fancied the sea bass but Renato recommended the Talapa i think it was called (similar to sea bass) absolutely exquisite. the food the service and atmosphere was so good we could not wait to go back and went for another meal on the 30th feb again excellent. I have been to a number of Italian restaurants in Tameside and Manchester and this for me is the best in the area. I have to thank my friend Marcello for recommending La Lupa to me.
La Lupa – StalybridgeDelicious, no-nonsense Italian cuisine in an informal cafe style setting. The menu served a standard range of dishes, and the ones we chose were cooked to perfection. The service was both friendly and efficient, and the prices are pretty standard, but worth it. La Lupa appears to have a local, regular crowd, and after one visit I can see why. We'll be going again.
La Lupa – StalybridgeGarlic mushrooms to die for! Excellent service with friendly staff and a nice homely ambiance. Will definitely return sooner rather than later. Yummy, yummy, yummy.
La Lupa – StalybridgeI visited La Lupa with my husband recently and had a fantastic evening - great wine, fabulous Italian food and lovely staff. We'll definitely be returning - I may have found my new favourite restaurant.
La Lupa – StalybridgeWent with my wife and daughter last night as a birthday treat to myself, place was suitably busy, but service and food was prompt and steaks delicious. Hadn't been since Enzo was sadly killed, and we had bad reports of it as "Aqua", so avoided it, but we thoroughly enjoyed it, and will certainly be going back. Enzo did better garlic bread though, hand made that bubbled and crisped up, so only gets a 9/10. :)
La Lupa – StalybridgeVisited first time 30th July 2011. Food: excellent. Atmosphere: friendly. Service: Very Good. Prices: Good. Wine; Didn't try; Driving! List looked good though. Must get a taxi next time. Will definitely add to visit again list.
La Lupa – StalybridgeVisited La Lupa for first time 30th July 2011. Excellent food. Real Italian, Pasta, Fish, & sweets. Prices good. Definitely on Visit again list. Didn't it used to be called Aqua?
La Lupa – Stalybridgehave visited this pub a couple of times and had very good meal so having visitors from AUSTRALIA I rang early one morning to book a table for 9 at 3 PM Saturday and was told by Joe ok your in. we duly arrived and the girl took our order starters etc from the 9 people not long after another girl arrived to inform us that they don't serve off the main menu until 6PM i was astounded as i was not told that when i rang in in fact our friends from Australia were very annoyed, the man called Joy was so dam arrogant and uncaring we nearly walked out we eventually spent £125 for fish and chips and steak sandwich from the lunch menu we were disgusted at the attitude of the man called Joe i bet they don't print this unhappy table of 9
