As always, wonderful Sicilian food served with efficiency and attentiveness. We had a meat-based focus this visit - the pork cheek antipasto was so tender and flavoursome. I had a veal chop and my companion had the lamb chops. Great portions which we did not finish so as to leave room for the dolce (the staff were happy to provide 'doggy bags' so we could take them home and chew on in the privacy of home, growling like dogs, which would be undignified in public). We always make sure to leave room for the wonderful selection of dolce. This has to be one of the best restaurants in Greater Manchester, IMHO.

As usual this wonderful restaurant served us a lovely meal last night. Despite concerns over Covid we felt very safe as it is always spotlessly clean, staff are very friendly, pay attention to safety and tables are well spaced. The extensive and very authentic menu offers incredibly good value and the quality of the food is always extremely high. We always feel we are in a lovely Italian trattoria . We’ll be returning as soon as we can. Definitely recommend.

We love Ciao. It never fails to live up to expectations. The staff are lovely. So welcoming and friendly and the food is great, at very reasonable prices. Staff are willing to adapt the menu to suit our likes. We did not have young children with us on this occasion, but have previously and the staff went out of their way to to make our visit comfortable. Highly recommend

Ate there at 4.30 on Friday with family, who were really impressed. The red mullet starter and lobster pasta were fantastic as was everyone’s food. Best restaurant around here, hope they can open up the top floor so that it is easier to get in at peak times. Steve Harris

Had a great evening on Saturday despite having to wait 45mins for our table in a very cramped doorway. The food was lovely and staff very friendly. Maybe there’s a problem with the booking system or they could do with a nice lounge to sit and have a drink

the food here is 5* bets itallisn i’ve ever had. the fish (all types) tasted so fresh and tender. focaccia cooked to perfection. pasta was perfect. can not rate enough. atmosphere and staff also fantastic, very relaxed and welcoming. staff couldn’t do enough for you. can’t wait to go back.

Visited the restaurant at 8.00pm Saturday 11th December, had booked a table for 4 persons. Restaurant extremely busy, allocated table was fit for two people and to small for four. It was so close to the next table that one of our guests had to move regularly to allow access. The food was overly expensive. Not a good dining experience.

Our family trip to A Tavola last Saturday lunch was superb. The atmosphere is warm, relaxing and friendly and the food is amazing and the staff couldn't have done more for us. Authentic Sicilian street food. Great for families. We made the trip to New Mills to see the new location of A Tavola, the new restaurant is lovely. They used to be our local restaurant and a favourite of our young son. The proprietor, Nicky always made a fuss of him and he really wanted to go to their new place. We were not disappointed and will be back soon.

We have ordered the take out food during the lockdown many times and always loved the home cooked traditional food but now we have experienced the restaurant, its an even bigger wow!. Perfect service in every way as staff are extremely attentive, friendly and knowledge of the menu so outstanding experience. The food is unlike menus tasted before and you can see it is authentic Sicilian due to incredible choices, names and recipes. The food is truly stunning and we including our 11 years old enjoyed every plate. Our son was kept busy with colouring in which he enjoyed and he drew a picture for the staff. Great atmosphere at 5.30pm was full on Saturday but the staff coped as the restaurant is run to perfection. Book early and you will not be disappointed. We love it and will be regulars for sure.

Our second visit and had an absolutely gorgeous meal, the staff are all extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the food on offer. The atmosphere is great and you can almost imagine that you are in a restaurant in Sicily. Hope to visit again in the very near future.

Another great evening in this restaurant. Being sicilian it is great to be able to eat traditional, tasty food in a fantastic atmosphere. Excellent food, brilliant staff, am sure it will not be long before we are back again.

Wow, what a place! It is the second time I have visited and a first for my husband and they could not have been more welcoming and cheerful. The food was exceptional and the staff's knowledge of the menu is absolutely spot on. We cannot wait until our next visit and recommend anyone trying without hesitation as it is an absolute treat but take your appetite.
