Went to east India with some friends last week for the first time and had a lovely evening. Excellent Indian food very reasonably priced. Quality service provided would highly recommend.

The Midway – StockportLovely food, great service and reasonably priced, will definitely be going back
East India – StockportBitterly upset at the entire experience. Was given the wrong dish. Queried it, as it lacked Potato, Onion or even being Hot (as in Spicy) as it was meant to be. Took it away, along with most of the rice. Only to come back within 2 minutes, the same dish, but with just some potatoes added and NONE of the rice they had taken away, not Onions or even Hot (as in Spicy). Queried it again, only to be dismissed and told it was right, then insulted by the Manager in his manner. Eventually, after MUCH effort, they finally accepted they had given the wrong dish, twice now. Then offered an further apology and a discount if we come again. WHY WE WE COME AGAIN THEY DID NOT LISTEN TO CUSTOMER. THEY DO NOT UNDERSTAND CUSTOMER SERVICE RUINED MY ENTIRE NIGHT & THAT OF MY WIFE THEY SERIOUSLY NEED STOP TREATING PEOPLE LIKE THEY ARE IGNORE OF THAI FOOD AND THEN LIE AND THEN INSULT
Siam Village Restaurant – StockportFantastic restaurant. Food is excellent and good prices.
East India – StockportJust the best restaurant in Stockport by a distance. We are regulars and recommend it to anyone. If you've never tried Greek food, give this place a go and you'll be converted. Particularly recommend the Klftiko and Chicken Feta, but seriously it's all fantastic.
Rozafa Taverna – StockportAs first time visitors to this lovely little restaurant, we were totally blown away by the standard of the food and service. this is an absolutely fantastic place to eat, we really recommend that you try it, you will not be disappointed.
Siam Village Restaurant – StockportThis restaurant is terrible, the food was cold, burnt and completely different to what was described. We went for the 5 tapas for 11.95 and didn't finish one dish. I was really disappointed as this was my first tapas experience. Never go here.
Los Amigos – StockportA party of 8 headed to Rozafa on last Friday evening. We opted for the mega mezes, 2 meat, 1 seafood and 1 veggie. The quality and quantity of food that arrived at our table was unbelievable. We left very full and with a free bottle of wine from the owner so will definitely be going back in the near future!
Rozafa Taverna – StockportThis is a unique and elegant treat, which you might easily overlook if passing on the street. By walking through the doors of Stockport Plaza you step back in time to 1932. The newly refurbished Plaza Super Cinema and Variety Theatre has character by the bucket. By night, the building is host to a mixture of variety, music, classic films and more up to date movies. By day you can head upstairs to find a cafe lounge, complete with bow-tied and waistcoated waiting staff in the setting of Plaza's original cafe, much as it was 78 years ago overlooking Mersey Square. The place is typically open 10 - 4 and offers lunches, cakes and the like. Unusually, the dishes draw heavily on local producers. We tried the BLT (local bacon and very tasty) and the Cheshire Rarebit which included Stockport-brewed beer and local cheese. A range of teas are available including Plaza blend. Ours were delivered in pristine white tea pots with individual strainers. Bliss. It looks like some evening meals may also be available.
Plaza Cafe Lounge – StockportWow..... Real Greek Cooking.... This place is brilliant!!! The food is excellent, full of flavour and the atmosphere is cosy. The waiter who tells jokes is funny, and yes you can even get a Mythos here!!! Recommend the Mousaka, Kebabs, actually anything!!!
Rozafa Taverna – StockportWe really enjoyed our breakfast 32 years ago today. It was the morning after the day we got married. Mary and Eddie Atherton (Canada)
Miller & Carter – Stockport17/10/9. This restaurant is well recommended. We eat there with friends on a Saturday evening, nothing was too much trouble & the food was really excellent - no it wasn't - it was better than that. This place deserves support. Not sure about the jokes though. Will definitely be going back.
Rozafa Taverna – StockportThis is a fab restaurant. The food is delicious, the service is very good and the ambience is also good. You always get a really warm welcome. Highly recommended.
Ciao Ristorante – Stockportwe visited rozafa 30/09/2009 lunch time and had the 2 course £6.50 menu . wow the food was fantastic. we had an amazing greek salad 2 start with the freshest ingredients, for my main course i had the mixed kebab with the chips and the portion was huge, my partner had the stuffed vine leaves and they were fab . The restaurant was packed but our service was fab, really couldn't recommend this place enough. A BRILLIANT PLACE X
Rozafa Taverna – StockportWithout doubt one of thee best restaurants I've eaten in Manchester up there with my other fave The Market. Took a trip there last Friday with my better half and opted for the early bird set menu which turned out to be an absolute bargain, from the delish soup, perfect rissoto and sublime dessert. Coupled with great decor and atmosphere, reasonably priced wine menu, miss this place at your peril!!!!
Damson – StockportWe went to Damson and had a good eating experience. The restaurant is still a developing project, with small niggles such as the draught when the door opens, but the food was high quality, beautifully cooked and served in a friendly relaxed fashion. Just pushing the boundaries of expensive, the staff make up for it with fine food and good wines, which is why we went and would go again. Best of luck to them, and keep the rabbit on the menu!
