Mr Ali’s – Stockportmy wife is currently in hospital and as a treat, thought i'd get a decent takeout, rather than the usual rubbish. what a mistake that turned out to be. i asked for a salmon pasta along with a meal for my wife. they told me salmon pasta wasn't on the menu but they'd make it for me anyway - great! having left my wife in hospital, i collected the food (nearly £30 for 2 pastas & garlic bread - had read good reviews so didn't mind paying for good food) having got back to my wife's side, i discovered that my pasta had prawns in it. i don't eat seafood, so called to complain. the way i was treated i still can't believe now. they were so rude and obtuse, i almost had to hang up on them i was so shocked. they said 'we thought we were doing you a favour?' not much of a favour to someone who doesn't eat seafood, and why not ask if i wanted prawns when i was on the phone? it looks like a lot of their pasta dishes have prawns in and they were too lazy to make a fresh sauce. i still cannot believe how outright rude the were to me. they eventually agreed to refund me the 14.95 for the pasta i can't eat and suggested i don't go there again which i certainly won't. ironic thing is that their name means friends/friendly (i think). ps the garlic bread was very nice :-)
Amici – Stockportwe came here last Friday the 24th July! it was fantastic ,the food was delicious and the staff were helpful and friendly .will definitely be coming again .
Rozafa Taverna – Stockportreally really nice. love all the staff they are all lovely and the foods not bad either lol. xx to chico lino n everyone....xx
Al Fresco – StockportBrilliant food and sangria!!! We went a few months ago and was really impressed. Not many people in when we went which was probably a good thing, if your thinking of somewhere to go for quick service and nice food I would highly recommend
Los Amigos – StockportDon't bother unless there are at least six of you eating, this includes children in the party even after 7pm, when you would think it would be child free, especially on a Sun! Over an hour is not a 30min waiting time. There was not the selection of food as mentioned in another review. There was Gammon, Turkey or Beef. There was also no broccoli or cauliflower and one chef and from what I saw, two waitresses serving, no surprise there was a big queue and ridiculous wait for tables. My advice to The Rudyard, be prepared, get organised and put customers on a first come first served basis, not how much money you can squeeze out of people in one sitting, shame on you.
Miller & Carter – StockportI went to The Town Bar on 24.03.09. It was absolutely lovely! They have had a refurbishment & it's so much cleaner & more relaxing. The food was amazing & the service was too. The coffee not the best I've had but it has much improved.
Town Cafe Bar – StockportCame here tonight with a visitor to Stockport. The Kalimari was exquisite and everything tasted authentic that made for a `good mood` feeling both with the cosy ambience and in the tummy. Indeed a `hidden gem`.
Rozafa Taverna – StockportThis is my 3rd visit to this restaurant. I have taken different friends on each occasion and everybody has really enjoyed it. Great value for money. Food excellent! Cosy, friendly restaurant tucked away in Stockport. A little gem. I have been to some very popular (expensive) Greek/Mediterranean restaurants in M/c and food here is by far the best.
Rozafa Taverna – Stockporthad my 50th birthday party in the upstairs room food was excellent and the staff very attentive. It made my day special and we will definitely be going back for my daughters 30th next year.
Al Fresco – StockportProbably one of the best restaurants I have ever visited.
Amici – StockportWithout a doubt, the Kush serve the best curries in Manchester! We have never been disappointed. The service is always superb and the food...well, just delicious, whether eating in or delivering to your door. Highly recommended.
Kushoom Koly – StockportWe were really looking forward to eating at Amici after reading the good reviews. However, it was one of the worst restaurants I have eaten at in a long time. Service was average at best and staff were disinterested and vague. Our starters arrived very quickly - not a good thing as they had obviously been sitting there, cooked, for a looooong time (not a good thing for one of the specials!) Main course was better but I found a piece of bacon in my 'seafood' pasta - an obvious mistake, but when I mentioned it to the waiter he did not seem at all interested - good thing I'm not allergic to bacon!
Amici – StockportJust been for our first visit to Rofaza and were really impressed. The food was excellent - and lots of it! The service was very good and the prices really reasonable. We'll definitely be back.
Rozafa Taverna – StockportThis is an absolute gem of a restaurant - shame we've only just found it!! We've been twice in two weeks! The food is outstanding and very tasty with a huge choice, and unlike many other restaurants, they appreciate your business and are so friendly. We've had the meat meze each time and it is stunning - but be warned there is plenty so don't have a snack before you go! I highly recommend this restaurant, you will not be disappointed.
Rozafa Taverna – StockportExcellent, quirky and individual atmosphere, good family service I really like this restaurant, particularly the deli salad selection for a starter.
JAS JAS JAS – StockportAte at Rozafa last night, what a little gem. It's a predominantly Greek, Mediterranean restaurant. Excellent food and value for money, get there early and enjoy the 3 course inclusive meal, if you can. Friendly helpful staff too.
