Amore – SunderlandWent here last week with my family for a 30th party meal. This place was buzzing and really made us feel special. It is a Hidden Gem in Sunderland. I eat all over the country in some of the best restaurants and I am so impressed that the standards have not dropped in this place. We love it!
Amore – SunderlandBy far one of the best chip shops in the north east. Large, delicious portions, very friendly staff and excellent prices. Highly recommended.
Tommy’s Fish Shop – SunderlandAwesome Restaurant! Food is consistently of high quality, service spot on. best Italian in Sunderland by a mile!
Amore – SunderlandThe midnight moon is absolutely the BEST indian restaurant in the North east , we have tried loads of restaurants around the whole of the region and the midnight moon exceeds them all. The food, the prices and best of all the very friendly and helpful staff, we go there as often as possible even though we live in hartlepool! any one who goes there will NOT be disappointed!
Midnight Moon – SunderlandBeen going to this restaurant for many moons now and we've never been disappointed with the quality, service or value for money. I must've passed on this recommendation to hundreds of people in this time and have yet to hear anything negative. My favourite dish has to be the lobster curry.
Midnight Moon – SunderlandI have been coming back to this restaurant for years and i have never received a bad meal. The food is great as very reasonably priced, with a great wine selection (the house wine is very tasty). Staff at La Toscanina are fantastic and always have a warm welcoming smile on their face. I would recommend this restaurant to any body. PERFECT!
Tosca – Sunderlandme and my partner love the middy tried lots of dishes all tremendous mixed kebab for starters is our favourite mmm
Midnight Moon – SunderlandAsiana - had a meal there last night, 3 of the guests in the party of 8 were 10 minutes late. The owner/manager came over to my table and greeted me with "you have this table 7-9.15, ok?" OH THE HUMILIATION! I was so concerned as 9pm approached as they hadnt cleared our main course dishes away. We finished of our food quickly and left as soon as the dishes were taken off the table, around 9.30 but there wasn't anyone waiting, so i assume someone hadn't turned up at all! Could he not have come over and said that they had managed to seat people elsewhere? He ignored me totally as we left. Bit of a cheek really as they add service charge to the bill, around £20! Having said that - its excellent food, and the waiting staff are very good. I do hope they are not going to spoil things with such pompous arrogance.
Asiana Fusion Restaurant – Sunderlandi think its the best italian restaurant in sunderland amazing food with a friendly and quick service.
Luciano Ristorante – SunderlandWe had an evening meal on Dec 05 -2009 I had the smoked crispy chicken starter followed by the Crispy Mongolian Lamb with chilli oil dip. The service was ultra quick and the food was fresh and perfectly cooked, extra credit for the lamb though as it was delicious. Highly recommend and this is the best Asian restaurant in Sunderland! Well worth the money
Asiana Fusion Restaurant – SunderlandI adore this place , whether its busy or not.!!!!!! it is immaculate the service is courteous, and prompt. The waiters never get flustered even on the busy nights. When i go to a restaurant on a Saturday night i really don't expect FAST FOOD service. SHAME on those of you that do.
Shagorika – SunderlandAsiana. A friend and i had the pleasure of eating here a few weeks ago, not only are the views wonderful the service utterly faultless, but the food was the best i have eaten anywhere in the north for a very long time. excellent!!!!
Asiana Fusion Restaurant – SunderlandI would guess that nobody involved with this operation has ever been to Italy or even another Italian restaurant, Nice people though. I had a huge chicken escalop topped with a tin of tomatoes and cheap mozzarella accompanied by a mountain of weird sauteed poatoes and, wait for it. TINNED PEAS! my wife's rissotto had obviously been microwaved as the rice was like a pile of little chalk pellets. At least the other clientele were entertaining. I Thought it was a cross dressing convention but upon going into the street i realized that it was just Saturday night in the bedlam that is Sunderland. Avoid.
Tosca – SunderlandMy partner and I went here for a meal, and we arrived at around 8pm without booking. The staff were very friendly and advised us that if we didn't mind waiting then we would have a table, which suited us fine as we could have a drink at the waiting area - consisting of very soft brown leather seats, away from the hustle and bustle of the main restaurant area. We waited for 45 minutes and then we were shown to our table. The view is spectacular, especially as the sun was setting over the river! We felt spoilt for choice event he menu was not big. In the end we ordered 3 starters - Crispy Lamb, salt & chilli squid, steamed scallops - the seafood is fresh as they are close to the seafood docks and apparently they get the seafood brought in quite regularly.. and you can really tell the difference!! For the main - which took us sometime to decide, we had Beef Rendang and Chicken Pataya with a portion of fried rice between the two of us! The beef rendang was served in an earthen pot, and tasted out of this world - its basically a very coconut based curry, creamy in texture with just the right kick - not too hot, but with a kick! The chicken was also very tasty although I have to admit we enjoyed the Rendang the most, so much so we were scraping every bit of sauce out to go with rice. This was all followed by a lovely dessert and a refreshing cup of chinese tea and my partner had a latte - which is unusual for a chinese restaurant to be able to provide. Everything we ordered was excellent! my partner is the worst critic when it comes to eating out, but he enjoyed every dish that we ordered, enjoyed the view, the decor and the friendly service!! A definite must if you are looking for somewhere to eat!!
Asiana Fusion Restaurant – SunderlandWent there with the family for lunch - my birthday bash - at the weekend. Excellent food (the hot pepperoni pizza will blow your socks off!), very friendly, efficient and accommodating service, even when ordering "off menu". Good atmosphere. Really good value and thoroughly recommended.
