VERY GOOD FISH AND CHIPS.WELL RECOMMENDED.
Thornton Fisheries – Thornton-CleveleysWe first visited Twelve in the middle of 2008 and have since become regulars. This is without doubt the best restaurant in the Fylde. The quality of the food is absolutely superb, using lots of local produce. The fillet steak (from the bowland forest) is the most flavoursome and tender I have tasted anywhere, and the venison is equally good. Caroline (who runs the show) is a superb hostess, and cannot do enough for you. I would recommend Twelve to anyone. If you don't enjoy it I'll pay for your meal!!
Twelve – Thornton-CleveleysExcellent service, contemporary comfortable surroundings, unbeatable quality and variety, and reasonably priced. All in all, the only place to go for Indian cuisine. We have now tried approximately 100 dishes since its emergence and have not had an ordinary meal to date.
Meherin – Thornton-CleveleysVery good went with my partner and two children. One of the better Chinese restaurants on the Fylde
Great Fortune House – Thornton-CleveleysWe visit Le bistro as often as possible;en masse, in small groups, bringing friends along and even taking the place over entirely a couple of times a year. The food is always excellent, interesting menus, freshly prepared, enjoyable wines, friendly atmosphere, great value. The Best.
Le Bistro – Thornton-CleveleysI went for the first time to the Thornton Lodge with my friend, sister and mum. We have a beautiful meal, the decor was warm friendly and very inviting. The service was excellent with courtesy, smiles and consideration. It was excellent. Thank you for a lovely afternoon.
Thornton Lodge – Thornton-CleveleysOur first visit to mimmos and will not be our last! A warm welcome greeted us on arrival and friendly atmosphere whilst we waited for our table and had drinks at the bar! Food was delicious the mussel starter was devine and huge!! Food portion sizes were plentiful. Our bill was £50 for two. A lovely treat for us and can't wait to go back. Thank You so much.

Thornton Fisheries – Thornton-CleveleysVisited Meherin last night and was blown away by the quality ,choice and service. This is a gem of a restaurant. Many items on the menu I've never heard of before and staff only too willing to advise you on the dishes. And they do take aways! Can highly recommend, and can't wait to go again.
Meherin – Thornton-CleveleysWe booked a table for two for Valentines night. When I called to book we where offered either 18:30 or 21:00. I opted for 21:00 only to turn up and join the end of a queue of about 15 people. I had to stand outside in the cold with my girlfriend. Everybody else in the queue, in front and behind, had booked for 21:00. No member of staff even came to talk to us to explain the situation. After waiting 20mins we decided to go over the road to eat in the Bay Horse pub. Funnily enough there where a number of people there whom had done exactly the same thing. I spoke to people who had booked for 20:00, only to wait 30 mins and eventually give up. It is an absolute disgrace that this happened. Greedy is all I can say about Mimmo's. They ruined Valentines night for me and many others.
Mimmo’s Italian Restaurant – Thornton-CleveleysMy Wife, Father-in-Law and I visited LdV for the second time last Friday evening. We had been a couple of weeks prior for the standard menu, but wanted to trial the early bird. We booked for 6.45pm and were pleased that there were only two other tables occupied when we arrived (it soon filled up though). The waitress was attentive and we were asked if everything was alright after each course and also just after our main course was served. I had the meatballs as a starter which were very good, followed by the pork (Maiale alla Crema) with garlic, cream and white wine. It was excellent and came with a good side selection of vegetables, cooked al dente not soft (thank goodness). Both of my family made their own pizzas up from the menu and were both happy with them, the base being fresh stone baked (which they prefer). I was a little disappointed that LdV had not updated their website as the early bird menu on it did have a few more choices for starters and main than were available on the night in the menu - I had really fancied trying the Chicken (Pollo alla Diavola). It might be worth checking with them when you book what is on the menu if you specifically want something. Similarly, the starter my wife had picked prior to us going was also not on the menu. The sweet menu is extensive, but for the early bird there is a choice of about four, we all opted for the tiramisu and it was light and refreshing, not stodgy. All in all, the early bird was good value for money, the food was all well prepared and presented. We will certainly go again and would recommend it to anyone.
Pizza and Pasta – Thornton-CleveleysThis restaurant is incredible for food, price an service. It is a credit to the owners. If anyone can honestly say they didn't enjoy their meal, they must well be the first as everyone I have spoken to return again and again and never have a bad word to say about it. Get a table booked and enjoy quality!
Le Bistro – Thornton-CleveleysHave recently been to Twelve with my partner and had the most wonderful dining experience. I have been dining out for many years and truly say this is by far the 'best' dining experience we have ever had. From the food, to the atmosphere and in particular the service; really this place is so worth a try. Be warned you will want to go back! Amazing, well done and thank you so much!
Twelve Event Management – Thornton-CleveleysDelicious food. great prices. The salmon was perfectly cooked and the risotto starter delicious. Best of all was the veg. Cauli and broccoli cheese, garlic cabbage, buttered carrots and spiced parsnips. also massive choice of desserts on the table d'hote. Three courses for £13.25! Only down side is the very small bar/reception area with incredibly uncomfortable seating! Will visit again soon.
Le Bistro – Thornton-CleveleysWe visited LdV at short notice on a Saturday evening. For those that remember it as Nutter's Bistro, expect a huge change on the inside. They have done a fantastic job changing the interior to a lively modern, clean smart style. The toilets were extremely well maintained and time had been spent to make sure they were well decorated and clean, which is something that let's many places down - not this one! It did take maybe fifteen minutes for our first drinks to arrive as we weren't asked when sat in the waiting area and given menus. The food is well priced, not cheap (unless you go for the early bird) but certainly not expensive. Good value and plentiful would describe it. My only real gripe was the forty minute wait between our starters and main course, BUT there was a large table of maybe 25 people that they were trying to serve at the same time - I think they did a great job catering for such a large group for the size of the establishment. The garlic bread was great, the pate starter was huge. Three of us had pasta dishes (filet fettucini, seafood linguini, bolognaise linguini) and one the duck and plum sauce from the specials menu. All were excellent, a very good varied selection of seafood, my fillet strips were plentiful, the duck was cooked splendidly and the bolognese was also good. It was notable that all three of us having pasta failed to finish - testament to the portion size. Staff once we were seated were very attentive and pleasant. On the whole, an excellent meal and a fair price - what more can you ask for? We will certainly be returning, and most definitely trying the early bird now we have tried the full price menu. Well done LdV.
Pizza and Pasta – Thornton-CleveleysWe visited on a freezing Sunday evening. The restaurant was fairly quiet as we expected on such a bad evening, but we were warmly greeted and shown toour well laid out roomy table. Having ordered a bottle of reasonably priced Primitivo we studied the varied menu. We shared a delicious garlic bread and Funghi Ripieni, both generous portions. Two fillet steaks followed, a Filetto Funghi and a Filetto Dolcelatte. Both cooked to perfection, medium rare as requested. They were served with new roasted potatoes, cauliflower, carrots and cabbage. Chips were offered. Both meals were excellent. We had to pass on the desert menu but enjoyed coffees. La Dolce Vita is well worth a visit, as good if not better than many of the well known Italian Restaurants on the Fylde Coast, and we have sampled many. We will definitely be back.
Pizza and Pasta – Thornton-CleveleysExcellent meal as always! This is the second time we have eaten here and we have never been disappointed, true to the menu 'Gets your taste buds dancing'. Definitely recommended.
