Hole In The Wall – TorquayWonderful fish restaurant. The best, but is expensive.
No 7 Fish Bistro – TorquayExcellent atmosphere. Small and welcoming. Hazel is wonderful, and the food lovely. Highly recommended.
Memories Bistro – TorquayAmazing! I was on a long weekend trip and had written to request menu's from many restaurants in the area...Jingles were one of the few who replied and boy, am I glad they did! I have never seen such an extensive menu of tasty and filling dishes. Although I was ideally looking for a romantic meal for two, this menu won myself and partner over and we are so glad we went for Jingles! It was the Cajun Chicken Gumbo that persuaded me (one of the nicest and most substantial starters I can remember) but it was my main course that inspired me to write in and sing their praises...Orleans Ostrich! 2 chargrilled ostrich steaks served on a bed of rosti potatoes in an orange Grand Marnier Creole sauce. The first time I 've had ostrich, and an orange-flavoured sauce as well, but I hope not the last, indeed I would drive another 300 miles just to eat it again! The Grand Marnier was a Grand Idea! My partner delighted at the fajitas and we were both impressed with the presentation...you'd have thought we were in an empty brasserie such was the fuss over our presentation, but the fact it was heaving, and it was only a Monday night only underlines how impressive this place is! To top it all, we had alligator strips with a garlic butter as a supplement, we were both in heaven! Add to this an impressive dessert menu, a TGI-esque range of cocktails and a vast amount of Tequilas to choose from, (all very well explained on the menu or by the helpful staff) and you've got yourself a grand dining venue. It looks like your average Mexican/American themed restaurant, and had they not sent the menu to us, we'd have walked right past it, but we're glad we didn't...it was the most memorable meal I've had in a long time. The atmosphere for a Monday was amazing, and clearly large parties are welcome, but I would recommend it to anyone regardless of who and how many people you are dining with...I'm just gutted I live so far away or I'd be back to work my way through the rest of that exciting menu!
Jingles – TorquayThe service and attention to detail makes this, in my opinion, the only place to dine if you want to really indulge. You must be prepared to splash out, but it is worth every penny!
Orestone Manor Hotel and Restaurant – TorquayThis is a great place for a part - lively happy music and a real sense of fun. The menu is incredible and the portions are huge. Frozen margaritas are great and there are too many tequilas to count.
Jingles – TorquayI found the only thing that lets this pub/restaurant down is the unfriendlyness of the staff.
Coombe Cellars Inn – TorquayGreat place to eat!! Huge variety to suit every taste.
Jingles – TorquayThis is the ideal place to eat if you want a cheap meal with beers and wines at an unbelievably low price. There is a large families room, and the background music is at a low level. The menu is extensive and they have daily pomotions.
