One Eyed Cat Bar and Restaurant – TruroHad an amazing meal at Chantek the other night .. have lived in Malaysia for many years so know what good Asian food is, and this was totally authentic. Ate far too much and the sticky rice was out of this world. Very attractive modern decor which is a change from the oldeworldy look so often found in the west country. Kids menu was a hit also with my two and healthy! They even tried and liked the pan seared tuna starter i had!!! Will be returning often ... oh yes and lovely staff too :)
Chantek Thai and South East Asian Restaurant – TruroI love the fact that you can watch the pizza chef making your pizza, always made to feel welcome, love the traditional style of inside the food is fantastic, just discovered they do take-away, even with pasta too
Piero’s Ristorante and Pizzeria – TruroI love this place. Just a bit of background information to anyone who doesn't know - this place is a joint venture between The Hub and Onshore, both of St Ives. The pizzas at lunchtime are wonderful. You can't beat a wood burning oven for flavour. The pastas and fish dishes are also yummy. I haven't eaten here in the evening yet but it's on my list of things to do. As most other folk are saying, this place is a great addition to Truro.
One Eyed Cat Bar and Restaurant – TruroAt last big city life has come to Cornwall with this great new addition to days and nights out in Truro. Goodbye Meadery and hello sexy One Eyed Cat. We ate and drank here last night, the menus are amazing as is the attention to detail. Best atmosphere in a grand old church too. 1st class, open up more please
One Eyed Cat Bar and Restaurant – TruroI went to One Eyed Cat last Friday with some friends. The food and service was great, I would definitely recommend the Tandoori Monkfish and Salmon Fishcakes. This has without a doubt raised the benchmark for other restaurants in Cornwall.
One Eyed Cat Bar and Restaurant – TruroWent on Friday night, enjoyed the food immensely and the atmosphere was great, a busy and vibrant place to go. Talked about what food we are going to have next time on the way home!! Definitely returning, well done!
One Eyed Cat Bar and Restaurant – TruroI went there for dinner Sunday evening and I had the nicest bruschetta I've ever had! really really tasty. Will definitely go back.
One Eyed Cat Bar and Restaurant – TruroHurrah and congratulations to the owners and their staff, this place rocks. Great atmosphere, cracking drinks and food menu and all in a majestic old chapel. we luuuuuv it!
One Eyed Cat Bar and Restaurant – Truroi went here for dinner last Sunday and the food was absolutely amazing so tasty. meal was absolute fantastic!!
One Eyed Cat Bar and Restaurant – TruroThe food was absolutely amazing and so well presented. It was without doubt the nicest food I've eaten out in Cornwall
One Eyed Cat Bar and Restaurant – TruroGreat food, nice busy atmosphere, felt slightly cramped though, everytime the waitress walked past she had to ask us to move. Which after about ten minutes grew slightly annoying. Apart from that we had a very nice meal.
One Eyed Cat Bar and Restaurant – TruroThis is such an amazing setting on the terrace overlooking the water and it feels a bit exclusive too. So I was surprised that you have to order food from the bar having got your table number and pay upfront like a pub. Food was pretty good but pricey for what it was and how it was served. Maybe it's different at dinner...
The Idle Rocks – TruroThis is a world away from it's previous life as the Truro Meadery. It is decorated in a light and modern way but also incorporating the old stained glass windows. The food was delicious and well presented. I would say this restaurant is of the highest standard and is amongst the most reputable eateries in Truro. I'll definitely be returning, in fact, a booked for another meal on my way out!
One Eyed Cat Bar and Restaurant – TruroCrikey the food is good here! Had a business lunch on the hoof but still had time for a superb amuse of Jerusalem Artichoke veloute, a main special of gently Moroccan spiced, slowly braised neck of lamb with perfectly cooked veg and creamy mash my lunch guest had a goats cheese dish with onion marmalade, bean shoots and sundried tomato. We finished with a velvety chocolate marquise and home made campari and grapefruit sorbet. Deal done!
Tabbs Restaurant – TruroMy God can Truro really be changing into a proper city? A slice of city sophistication and cool style has just opened its doors, at last somewhere for the Truro cool cats to strut!
One Eyed Cat Bar and Restaurant – TruroI wanted to go somewhere special for my 50th birthday, and having eaten before at Tabbs Portreath I knew their new Truro restaurant would be just the place. I was not disappointed! It has been beautifully decorated and furnished in a modern but relaxed style and is very welcoming on arrival. The service is first-rate, professional but friendly at the same time. And the food.......absolutely wonderful. The combination of flavours is quite exceptional, every mouthful a delight. My birthday was indeed a very special occasion. For anyone who has not yet discovered Tabbs, you have a treat in store!
Tabbs Restaurant – TruroHaving recently revisited the restaurant, I was very impressed with the standard of service, quality of food and friendly atmosphere. Having strolled in at 8.30pm on a Friday night, we were assured of a table, were not kept waiting long and the food was served promptly. My husband plumped for a very good chick. tik. mass. and I had an unbeatable Coriander Lamb which is a complete meal in itself and can't be rated highly enough!! The only gripe is that the spanking new glossy menus are a bit pants. Unfortunately they are virtually indecipherable due to the gold colour with silver or white font. At £50+tip for two with wine and soft drinks, the meal was more expensive than a takeaway but if you want takeaway prices bloody stay at home!! Highly recommended
Baba Indian Restaurant – Truro
